Sid Meier's Civilization V: The Complete Edition
 –

A dissapointment.

It's still Civ so it is, a the minimum an amazing game but if you've played previous versions then it might be a step or two back. In an attempt to make it more multi-faceted they have taken away some of the fun and the charm. To build a wonder you now have to complete the pre-requisite building in every city you own. If you play the game then you understand this is huge problem for larger CIV's and you end up never making some wonders - ever. The diplomacy has always been fickle and it's worse now. Partners or other CIV's turn on you without warnng or any sense. The sense of AI is totally ruined by this - the other CIV"s are basically random characters that act in any fashion at any time. The city states are an improvment and at least they act consistently. Combat is fun, and I would say better than in previous versions. I don't like the character illustrations and building a wonder is less momentus. For me the whole game is a lot less charming than previous versions - it's still CIV but I've played it a couple of times now on many levels and I'll probably delete it.

Surface: The Soaring City
 –

Small screen

This game cannot be played with full screen. The listings for the hidden objects is only partially visible so you have to play on a smaller view. Otherwise, the games are unique and the graphics excellent. I also like the storyline.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Deluxe Edition

Addictive Murderous Fun

This game is great all around. I enjoyed it so much that the first night after I bought it I played it for twelve hours straight and missed an orchestra concert I was supposed to play in.

The combat is fun and the stealth is fun. I enjoy the historically accurate setting and the strategy elements of upgrading the city and repairing buildings and recruiting assassins. The micromanagement is mildly tedious at times but overall I think it adds a new aspect to the game that enriches it beyond just hack and slash.

The forced stealth in some missions is irritating as hell to me but I understand that stealth is part of the whole point of the game.

The interface leaves a little bit to be desired as far as how it was ported from Console to PC, it still feels like it was designed for the consoles and it's awkward on the computer. I had to fiddle with the keybindings and stuff to get it playable.

Climbing all over everything is wonderful. No insurmountable waist high fences in this game! seriously that alone makes this a winner in my book.

This game has some issues but overall I love it and it's tons of fun.

Jurassic Park: The Game

Worst game of Telltale

I had hoped, as I'm a big fan of the Jurassic Park movies and the telltale games, that this game would give me the feeling that I'm really there, that I would participate in dino-action ;). Well, it did not. The game is laggy, consists of mostly qte which don't respond that well, and the animations are kinda bad. I finished the first chapter (with much reluctance), and I just couldn't get myself to play the rest. How much I love telltale, I cannot recommend this game. It really is the worst game they've made.

Longevo e bello - Durable and beautiful

Cateia Games has its own unique "style of play," and there it also proposes here. At last there is a map (as opposed to other Cateia games), the story and the music is good, the scenes are of high quality although static, while cinematics make everything more enjoyable. Many scenes with hidden objects (keep them an eye because "you cross" several times), many objects to be recovered / match, many mini-games that range from "easy easy" and the "you click randomly, maybe succeed do", collectible trophies to find with the right commitment ... and not a hasty end, with a good narrative breath. If everything you are passionate about, this game is made for you. For me, four stars because it's a game very well-lived thanks to the fact that "travels" in four different worlds. New York Mysteries: The Lantern of Souls Collector's Edition
 –

Pretty good

I didn't like this one as much as New York Mysteries: Secrets of the Mafia. The gameplay is almost identical, only the story differs. Probably it is because I got frustrated a couple of times, for instance when I tried to figure out some of the mini games. Normally I know when I give up because I'm not smart enough to solve a puzzle or lack of patience. This time it felt like something was wrong with those two mini games, like they didn't work.

The graphics are clear, but the cut scenes look washed out. The sound and most of the voice overs are good. The jumpable map shows available tasks, morphing objects and collectibles. The hint is directional.

The HOS are interactive silhouettes and can be difficult. Some mini games are easy, some not. This game isn't on the easy side, but not that hard either. Most of the time you know where to go and what to do and there is a good flow.

I don't want to take away the surprise. All I can say is that there are supernatural stuff and some kind of monsters. If you like that, you might enjoy this game.
