I've had this game for years and it's one of my most played games. I just bought a key for my friend here because of the sale price.
Endless Legend is a 4x fantasy game similar to the Civ series but has much better mechanics and infinitely less screen clutter. The empires are all very different from each other and truly unique, with their own faction strengths and weaknesses that you can really feel in the game. Some are better than others for new players. For example, Vaulters is an easy faction, Cultists are not. Ardent Mages are somewhere in the middle. Shifters and Forgotten (DLC factions) are for experienced players.
Well drawn with a clever time-travel theme, lots of decent puzzles and a few tougher ones. A bit on the shorter side as others have written, but not excessively short. I am quite pleased with it and would recommend it if you like point-and-click and puzzle-solving.
Such an important DLC for the base game, it doubles the number of characters you can play, gives you an earlier starting date, and all the new events and choices really notch up the level of immersion. The only negative aspect is that you have to shell out extra for it.
We had no problem playing this on the Mac Book Pro with El Capitan. We're not finished with this game yet, but had to write this review because we just finished the part where Wilbur goes back in time into a text adventure game. It was absolutely fabulous! They did a great job of transitioning from text to today's graphics. We started playing text games in the 1980's with our kids, then to the Space/King's Quest games, Myst & onward, so this brought back so many memories. The humor in this game is great, especially when they make reference to Star Wars & other movies/games. The writers are brillant! Wish I had more time to play it, but growing old isn't always easy. We'll hopefully get back to it soon. Thanks to the developers for this one...keep them coming!
I've spent hours on this game, being frustrated and trying different strategies to win. I still haven't got the whole family through! Basic ideas and controls but the simplicity keeps it fun and interesting.
I think Sims 2 is my absolute favourite in the whole franchise and I am so glad to be able to play it again. It runs quite smoothly on my machine, althought the controls took a bit of getting used to.
This is enjoyable but plenty of time investment is needed. It can get a bit repetative and it may take a few playthoughs to really grasp the object of the game.
If you love Worms, you might enjoy this. It lacks the competitive idea of worms, but uses the same skills and some controls to play crazy golf in ever increasingly difficult scenarios.
I really wanted to love this game, but alas, do to bugs I wasn't even able to finish it. I've tried reloading but when I'm at the point where I need to check out a certain object outside of the room where the Duke is hanging, the game won't let me click on it. The curser just tracks around with a bunch of arrows "Dansing Macabre-ly" all over the screen. Darn it all!
While it's not the deepest or the widest 4X around, it strikes a really great balance between the two, giving you plenty to do and plenty of ways to do it, and it's all very well polished.
