This is a very shoddy DLC, insulting actually to sell something so poorly designed. All it really does is completely clogs your roads with trucks because it employs zero logic in materials and goods distribution.
It has a lot of nice factories to build but beyond that it's pretty much a joke.
I've played better games but this one is okay for a $5 sale price. For the survival mechanics that are there, there's a decent amount of depth to the. Problem is, there's very few of those mechanics.
It also has no tutorial whatsoever so prepare to go into it blindly.
This isn't the best DLC in the world. Doesn't offer much that's useful over what's already in the base game. It's mostly just a few things to look at and you can live without it.
It doesn't add a hell of a lot to make it worth a $20 price tag. That's, what, half the cost of the entire base game? Well, I got it on sale for $16 and using a $5 store credit it was only $11. It was worth it at that, for sure.
Anyway, 4-star $20 DLC for a 5-star $40 game. If the math works for you then I guess it's worth it. If not, wait for a sale. Paradox has frequent sales.
This game is great, typical Paradox mastery of the grand strategy genre. It's a lot like a 4x but then it's also a lot like a grand strategy, and it's Paradox's most approachable title yet.
Plenty to do in just the base game, with lots of mods available. The space combat is basically click the enemy fleet and the game takes over from there but there is a little more to it than that and the ship customization is excellent.
I've had this game for years and it's one of my most played games. I just bought a key for my friend here because of the sale price.
Endless Legend is a 4x fantasy game similar to the Civ series but has much better mechanics and infinitely less screen clutter. The empires are all very different from each other and truly unique, with their own faction strengths and weaknesses that you can really feel in the game. Some are better than others for new players. For example, Vaulters is an easy faction, Cultists are not. Ardent Mages are somewhere in the middle. Shifters and Forgotten (DLC factions) are for experienced players.
Mildly similar to the Civilization series but not really. Imagine Civ with all the things you wish it had, including a steep learning curve and insane amounts of DLC, and you've got EU4.
Great game. Steep learning curve that's worse than some, better than others. Much easier game to get into than something like Crusader Kings 2, though.
