SIMS, in best of this word

Each Sims rebuilt is used to be better and, let's say, more logic. The new game interface is simplier, Sim fine-tuning options and house features are endless. Mood panel is extremely useful and well done: now you will never miss your Sim's feelings. Good gift for franchise lovers!

Tropico 5: Waterborne

Major upgrade

The first major upgrade for tropico 5 - adds more goodies than small dlcs. mainly new campaign missions, building and vehicles focused on marine and off-shore lifestyle and bussiness. as usually adds some new music and avatar accessories. however, the price is a bit high for the amount of content, i reccomend to buy it in a sale as i did :)

Sid Meier's Civilization V: The Complete Edition
 –

The Classic One-More turn is an understatement!

I have logged over 1,000 hours on this game, Played it until 3 am on a school night, and won on every victory condition and yet there's still more to do!

I've even ventured to make mods on the steam workshop. The only thing it's missing is multiplayer mods... maybe in Civ VI :/

Sid Meier's Starships
 –

An accessible game with great graphics and medium complexity

I was looking for a starship-themed game without a steep learning curve and something that I could complete in 3-5 hours over a few days or all at once. I have played Civ 5 and enjoy it very much, but find it hard to comeback and pick up where I left off, after not playing for a week or two.

Sid Meier's Starships has very nice graphics and sound, a simple building tree and enough variability to keep me coming back for more. I do not understand why people are complaining so much about this game....relax people, it's meant to be an entertaining strategy and tactics game of starship battles. I love the weapons upgrade features that allow you to really buff up your starships with torpedoes, fighters and defensive features. It's quite an experience to launch a barrage of torpedoes at a comfortable stand off distance and devastate your enemy. As you increase the difficulty level, the AI gets more aggressive and starts attacking your homeworld's planets and outposts. You have to scurry around and build up defenses, build more starships for your fleet and constantly balance your resources.

Yes, I note that there are some predictable behavior patterns to the AI's attack methods. It does move its ships out of harms way when incoming torpedoes are zeroing in on its ships and it does deploy some interesting tech upgrades to counter your ship's abilities. In one game I discovered that the enemy ships had developed a defense to my torpedoes and were able to neutralize their effect. It also tends to focus on your fighters and you can use that as an attack ploy to distract them from your starships.

Though I have not discovered all the nuances of the game, I definately give it a thumbs up foe ease of play. There are ingame help features and an encyclopedia of descriptions for all the aspects of the game, so you do not need a print out or additional file to tell you how to play the game.

The game runs solid on my iMac with OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 . The price point is great at $14.99, so stop complaining and go enjoy yourself. This is from a gamer who has played boardgames since 1960 and computer games since the '80's.

Cities: Skylines

Such wasted potential

Until the game developers fix it's cloudy visuals, it gets 2 stars from me. I have noticed potential fixes for this cloudy or foggy appearance, but none of those fixes worked for me.

It's a shame, because it appears it could have been a great game if there was better Quality Control.

Great Action FPS

Honestly I don't love FPS because sometimes all you can do is shooting everywhere without goal but this game is completely different! Very Scary and a great gaming experience! I recommend it ! The gameplay is very good!
