Description

It’s an endless struggle trying to please the people of Tropico – and this time El Presidente needs to go green in order to get out of trouble. Of course, this is all to protect the funds of his Swiss bank account – which are obtained through the simple method of exporting ludicrously large amounts of crude oil to competing superpowers. Help El Prez promote a better image of the island by building 100% eco-friendly windfarms as a cheap and renewable source of energy and turn Tropico into a positive showcase of modern sustainability.

  1. Gone with the wind

    Yet another Tropico dlc with a new building (wind farm) and scenario. Unfortunately it's one of the weakest of the lot.

    Whereas the windmill was a good alternative to larger more expensive power plants in tropico 4 the windfarm here becomes available too late and is too expensive to be useful. The scenario is just a boring grind that forces you to build a great many wind farms you have no use for.

  2. Alright DLC, for the right setup.

    The Tropico DLC releases typically offer a mission and a building, plus a few things you probably don't care about. Some people like to say that they are useless, but the truth is that there is almost always a use for the building, which shows how advanced a game like this can be. In this case, you might hear that the mission isn't much, but the building actually can be useful. You need power, but don't always have college educated people to run it? If you don't, then an alternate source can be the wind power that you get from this DLC.

    Will you need it every time? No. Maybe once in a while. Nice to have if you do, though.
