Ashley Jones: The Heart Of Egypt
 –

One of the better Match 3

Ashley Jones has very good graphics and a good mix go gameplay. Lots of levels to complete. While it is not entirely original like most match 3, it does offer some different twists with earning power ups and finding in missing artifact in each board. The story and game are definitely interesting enough to keep playing. While at the beginning you think "same ol same ol" it gets better as you go on. I am about 45 levels in, just a little over halfway and I will definitely play all the way through.

Good match 3

good solid match 3 game, nothing new, except for the city facts but good none the less as long as you are not looking for something original.

Kudos 2
 –

Better than the first

The good: Kudos 2 has limitless replay value, improved look and a sharper interface. there is a lot of depth to it too! Your friends are more sophisticated in this version with interesting character traits. You can change your avatar as well. Yearly birthday parties etc. The only downside I found to the game is that the work day can get repetitive. If they could spice that up like the evenings it would be a near perfect game.

Coyote's Tale
 –

So So

The best I can say about this game is that you have 2 main characters to play and the original subject. You can choose which sister to play and if you would like to find the hidden objects by work or outline. There is a relaxed mode too. The mini games are enjoyable enough and you may skip as many as you want.
But the game is full of corny dialogue and TERRIBLE voice acting.

Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst
 –

this rocks, well written story and excellent graphics

I love mysteries and solving puzzles. This has got it all. The clues are well hidden and can keep you busy even a second time around. I really look forward to this games follow-up (Return to Ravenhearst Manor) being adapted to mac. I am not really that much into games but this one did not disappoint. Can play again and again.

FATE
 –

Did enjoy it for a couple of hours.

First impression: This game is awesome.

However after a day or two I found it quite irritating. It would have been a fantastic game if you didn't need to go through every single level time after time. Fate is no longer on my system.

Laura Jones and the Gates of Good and Evil

Fun games, not too hard. Fun mini games and good graphics. However, the game is way too short for the price. I bought it last night, played it a couple of times today and I'm shocked that I'm done!!

Continental Cafe

Not a good game

I tried this demo and the game was awful. So full of glitches. The mini games only work half the time. The word game only works on the hard difficulty setting. Otherwise you get a time out message repeatedly or the letters don't show up at all. On the click games, sometimes the marks appear, other times nothing happens. It is frustrating, boring and a waste of time. Sad since all of your other games are great.

Governor of Poker
 –

Really Bad

The AI poker players are extremely bad and very frustrating to play against. They'll call with anything no matter how much you raise. Even raising 3 or 4 times the big blind you are called by most of the table with junk hands. The blinds increase to fast so you are forced to play mediocre hands or be blinded to death especially late in tournaments. The end of tournaments are really all luck. Also the game is just boring, the towns all look the same. Nothing changes from town to town except the stakes. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone.

Travelogue 360 Paris

This is the third 360 game I've played. The other two were in London and Rome. All three were superbly done, masterly crafted and extremely enjoyable to play. I recommend all three of them to everyone who enjoy hidden object games.

Agatha Christie: Death On The Nile
 –

fun but not worth $20

i finished it in about 4 hours so it wasn't really good value.
it's mostly just "ispy" type games, looking for objects in rooms and occasionally coming across a clue. for the storyline reading the book was more entertaining and made more sense. the game's storyline was pretty hard to keep track of, and "questioning" the characters got pretty boring after a while.
however, the game was entertaining and for half the price i would have been pretty happy with it... but as it is i didn't think it was worth it.

you're probably better off going to a bookstore to buy the agatha christie book the game is based on and a book of "ispy" puzzles.

Ranch Rush
 –

Great concept, poorly ported to Mac

I love this game?love it. Everything from the concept to the graphics and the storyline.

Unfortunately, on my Macbook with 2gb of RAM (not teensy, but not a gaming PC), Ranch Rush is painful to use once you reach the 8th level or so. It stalls, drags, the mouse gets stuck...it seems like there are just too many graphics going on for it to handle, no matter how I tweak my configuration to free up memory to devote to it. This doesn't happen with any of my other Mac Games Arcade games, or Big Fish Games, who I think came up with RanchRush for PC and sold it to Fresh Games for Mac development?

Anyway, it's incredibly frustrating because it's so much fun! Perhaps they'll issue some kind of update.

DeepTrouble 2
 –

Excellent game but hang on recent Macbook Pro

I really loved this one. At least the demo.

But on 2 recents Macbook Pro (mid 2007 with nVidia 8600 and early 2009 with nVidia 9200/9600) the game hang past some point. Always the same point so it's easy to reproduce... and impossible to go further in the game.

I wrote to the author, and send him as he asked me, a screen capture of the area where the hang occurs. It was 6 month ago and no more news...

So it's impossible to buy as it. Too bad...

Laura Jones and the Gates of Good and Evil
 –

too much talking and freezing

The game has potential, but: there's way too much talking and while I was playing the trial version, it kept freezing.
I'm not going to spend $$ on it. I'm now downloading Azada ancient magic, I believe it has a lot more potential

Subway Scramble
 –

Subway Scramble: Simple but surprisingly fun and additive.

At first this game seems very simple and too easy, but keep playing a few more levels. You'll be amazed how challenging it can be to keep all those little trains from running into dead ends and each other. While still being fast enough to keep the stations from overflowing causing you to lose.

Hacker Evolution Untold
 –

Hacker Evolution Untold

I found Hacker Evolution Untold to be a fun and interesting game. Those with any command line experience should not have difficulty learning the command console in the game. I've only had my first Mac for six months, so most of my experience with command consoles comes from Windows and DOS, but I quickly adjusted to the UNIX style command console in the game. Best tip I can offer is to read everything carefully. Some clues are obvious and some are not. General rule: If something looks even slightly out of place, incorrect, or inconsistent investigate it, as it may be a clue.

Annie's Millions
 –

Interesting, but way, way too short

For a hidden object game, it feels a lot less "arbitrary", in that the items are in context in their locations (no finding televisions at the bottom of the ocean), and the running credit card total felt fresh. It seemed from the running total I had, like there would be a lot of time left in the game, only to find out after buying it that it only lasted about 10 minutes past the one hour free trial. In the middle of what felt like the beginnng of the game, the game took a story turn that felt like it arbitrarily ended.

In essence, while I liked it, it is very short, has hardly any replay value, and does not feel like it is worth $20 for the amount of time played.

Beautiful to look at, but difficult and quite frustrating

This has to be one of the best games visually to look at I have seen from Macgamestore/Mac Games Arcade, the graphics and animation are beautiful and very well done. My biggest problem with the game though is the level of difficulty - I am on level 8 now and am totally stuck trying to fulfil 70 orders out of 75, I keep replaying over and over and very rarely get much more than 50 or so. At this level the game is well nigh impossible using the trackpad on my MacBook Pro, so have to connect a mouse when I play. This is probably just my playing ability, rather than a problem with the game itself, so despite the difficulty I'd still recommend it.
