I was bored with the story

Hey. I admit it. I got bored with the storyline behind this game. I didn't want to read, I wanted to solve puzzles. It was too much like Sherlock Holmes.

Chocolatier 3: Decadence by Design
 –

Very Fun

This game is very fun and very addicting. I haven't liked playing Chocolatier games in the past, but this one is great. Similar to Tradewinds, but more user friendly!

Hell's Kitchen

FRENZY!

Frenzy is the only word that comes to mind. You don't learn anything about cooking except the recipes at the end which you could get anytime. It's just hectic rushing and doesn't take any brains or skill....just one fast finger!

Ancient Secrets
 –

Mini Games are the best part

I would have rated this game good on the mini games alone and if that if your favourite part, then it is a very good game. I esp. liked the slider puzzles. The story itself is rather weak and the hint system is not great. If you prefer a good story, good hidden objects this game will be average for you. But if you love logic puzzles and mini games such as in AZADA then you will love this game.

Jewel Match 2
 –

same ol same ol

I agree with Miriam. It is good for a match 3 but been there done that a hundred times. There is nothing new and it gets very boring after awhile. They do it well but how much of the same thing can you do? Ever since I played The Ancient Quest of Saqqarah (by far the best out there) I just can't get into the same routine of the standard match 3. The names have been changed but the games are the very same.

Entertaining

If you like pirates then this game is a must. The graphics are a wee bit outdated but the story is fun and the puzzlese actually make sense. If you liked Myst you will like this game although it is easier. It is of a medium difficulty and a great pirate story. The whole key here is whether you like the swashbuckling pirate genre and if you do, it is great fun! They seem to have an obsession with "knot tying" in their puzzles lol

Hacker Evolution Untold
 –

Uplink+

Really cool concepts. And any UNIX/Linux users who have played Uplink from Introversion will really appreciate the command line interface. NOTE: TAB will complete commands, filenames, and known hostnames. If you don't know it then you will quickly lose patience writing out each.

There are a couple UI issues, but nothing that kills it. Having a cinema display means each window is pushed out to each corner (feel sorry for me and my cinema display). Resizable/Movable windows would have remedied this problem as well as improved the UI and immersion.

The game is level based, but the story is intriguing and there is a lot of exploration potential if you investigate a bit. It will be a steep learning curve for non-technical people, but those who stick with it might learn something and will enjoy themselves.

Kinda stupid

Not worth the 29.99 it costs. No guidance in the game. Good graphics, but to much yapping.

Great GAME FOR ALL AGES

This game is is great fun for all ages. The graphics are terrific as well as the music. The kind of game you can get lost in because of the graphics but enough good puzzles to keep you actively and enjoyably involved. I needed a walkthrough especially at the end puzzle so the intelligence of the game writers did a great job!!!

A Vampire Story
 –

funny Vampires

I agree with Julie, the game was great, not too difficult but enough to be amusing. Only complaint as well is the LENGTH! I am hoping for a sequel and a longer one. I think there is a lot they could do to this game to take it to a great to fanatastic game. Nice little bout of ESCAPISM!

A Vampire Story
 –

Amusing but questionable

I wrote a very negative review at first and I'll try and be more helpful. The graphics and idea are good but the humor is childish (and offensive for young players) and hard to find the right age group for this game. With the cleverness of the game I would have liked more involvement for the player. I felt like I was just watching and listening to a very good effort by the writers but not enough to do as a player. A lot of $$ for this.

Be A King
 –

Good but too easy and too short

It is a nice game but it is way too short and too easy. It is a maximum 2 hours gameplay. And even the hardest level can be completed on a first attempt.

Cro-Mag Rally
 –

Good ol' Cro-Mag

Now here is a game that has shined for me time and time again. I searched long and hard for this game since the last time I had played it when I was in middle school. This game truly shines when the game is played over a network. Everybody has fun and the game has plenty of replay value.

When the game first came out ages ago it's graphics were considered amazing, however, for this day and age you would expect Pangea to come out with a Cro Mag Rally 2. The sounds can sometimes get annoying and the graphics are very outdated. I only purchased this game because I am an old fan and I have 2 other buddies that I play with.

I hope that someone at Pangea reads this and takes my following suggestions into consideration. If this game is to be ANYWHERE worth 20 bucks the following must be met: More sounds, Improved Graphics, Vehicle & Character Customization, More levels, Custom Level Creation and the ability to trade these custom characters, vehicles and levels over a network. I could go and mention the bug where if you drive at a wall at an angle for an extended period you tend to go through it. This makes multiplayer a real pain in the arse and of course can ruin a race if this is done accidentially.

To you, the buyer, you must be warned that this game is probably NOT worth 20 bucks in it's current state. It is old. It is fun. It has about 8 hours of game play for 1 player and countless hours of gameplay with friends.

Fun and Amusing

Beautiful game with not too difficult play. The conversations can be very funny, and the surrroundings are engrossing. Not long enough, but there is a sequel coming. Enjoy!

Jets'n'Guns Gold

Best Sidescrolling Space shooter in existence!

He title tell sit all for this review! The levels of addiction are nearly impossible to overcome! The custom loadouts and large quantity of scaling difficulties as you replay the story make the replayablity insane!

FATE
 –

Very Hard RPG

FATE is a very hard RPG. Too hard, I would say. Sometimes you enter levels and before you can even see (the darkness goes away) you are being attacked by 20 monsters. You are dead before you can even see the screen.

Diablo was much more balanced than this. I'm only at level 15 and have died at least 20 times. I'm a vetran gamer and usually love RPG's but this is just too HARD.

Sorry, FATE, the graphics are nice, the early levels are at least playable, but this game will NEVER be completed due to the intense difficulty. Also the time between leveling up is way too long. You are fighting level 15 monsters (20 of them at a time) with a level 10 weapon.

Thumbs down on this game......

Blitzkrieg

No problems with a new iMac and 4 Gig of Ram ;-) but:

The documentation!!!

The only way to learn the various commands is to go through the tutorials and make notes.

Game cursors are so small in the booklet type pdf manual you cant tell what they are. Whoever did the manual has never heard of Plain Language guidelines. I volunteer to rewrite it if they are interested because it has great graphics and really enjoyable once you learn it.

Around the World in 80 Days
 –

pretty high addiction factor

People playing this will see similarities between this and the RISE OF ATLANTIS. Follows the book pretty closely except for the pirates. There were no pirates in the Verne classic. It has good mixing of the game and story and beautiful scenery. A round of match 3 equals one of the 80 days. There are many power ups and it is quite difficult towards the end. Level 81 is killer.

All and all an addicting adreniline game not to be played before bed lol!
