Fun, But Too Short

This game is a first person shooter/economics course. The shooting missions are rather easy, but fun. However, trading takes a while to understand. Once you understand the tricks to trading, the game is exciting. Your objective is too make as much money as possible, and kill some bad guys along the way. The one major draw back is the length of the game. There are only three missions in the game. It needs between eight and twelve, in my opinion. Perhaps, in the future an expansion pack will be available.

Frustrating graphics

I purchased this game some time ago before this cite began. I find the graphics difficult to discern, but I do like the game.

Hidden Mysteries: Buckingham Palace
 –

Obtuse!

I played the demo. It's an attempt to be clever at using the same clues every time you ask for hints is extremely annoying and frustrating. Like other seek and find games this one gets repetative quickly. I'm not buying it. I sure am greatful for demos.

Bookworm Deluxe

Great game!

I have had this game for awhile and I love it. Unfortunately, it is incompatable with Leopard. It runs just fine on Jaguar, (that's why I keep my old computer up and running). The graphics are very good. The game play can get quite challenging. I have been known to play it for hours.

Hours of challenging fun

This and Jewel Quest III are among my favorite games. I have managed to complete the game 5 times, each time bettering my score. I love the graphics, although a bigger screen might be helpful. Admittedly, this one was a brain builder. I wish the scenes never got repeated. This would present the ultimate challenge.

National Geographic Presents Herod's Lost Tomb
 –

Beautiful graphics

How can you beat National Geographic for visuals? I only played the demo and am still trying to decide if I really want it after reading the only review. I want a game that will sustain my interest for a long time. I love the historical aspect of this (and many other games), especially because of accuracy.

Beautiful game

I have enjoyed this game. It's one I purchased online, and I wasn't disappointed. The graphics and music are most enjoyable.

Senet
 –

My favorite game

I just love playing Senet. The simple design will fool you , this game requires logic and strategy and long term planning.
It is wonderfully simple, yet complex. No wonder it has been around for thousands of years. So imagine yourself as Ramses the great or Moses and order Senet!

FANTASTIC!

WoW! I just love this game! I have been an avid hidden object game player and have a ton of HO games so this was my first RPG and I am so immersed in this 3d experience that I am only taking a short breather from Fate to give Kudos for finally having this game for a Mac! The game did freeze on me 1 time and I had 2 start over which was ok since by that time I could play smarter. I did turn my shadows off and I think the game froze because I was in a terrible fight so I used the portal home but when I wanted to get back it would have put me back in that melee and the game froze loading so now I just perish to avoid it from freezing. A tip I learned is to keep my valuable stuff in storage till I need money this way if I do have do perish I don't lose all my money! lol There are always exits on every level and I have noticed that just sometimes the quest you take will not pan out so i just cancel those and take another one. Again Thanks a bunch for giving us Mac peeps to play such a life like RPG! Well back to the dungeon I go!

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Hard Evidence
 –

Too short

It's great they've finally released CSI for Macs, about time!! I did find this way too short though. The first 3 crimes are too short so by the time you've really got the hang of it, it's finished. Great graphics and storylines but don't expect this game to take you long finish. Would recommend it to those who love investigating and delving!!

GameHouse Solitaire Challenge

Not Impressed

I'm really dissappointed in this game. Each game, your dealt the same deal, over and over and over!!! If the game can't be solved, oh well, choose new deal and be dealt the same game again! It's like being stuck in the twighlight zone!

Problem with German localization

I like this game. I really do (I already played it on my old PC). However, the Mac version suffers from a very annoying bug in non-English localizations: Lots of tags are displayed on-screen so that the text is effectively rendered incomprehensible. Unfortunately the game doesn't let you choose your language but auto-detects which one your system is set too as default.
As a workaround, it is possible to switch your OsX to English as the display language before starting the game and switching back afterwards. An annoying procedure at first, and an infuriating one as you have to repeat over and over. Please get a patch from the developers!

Jade Empire: Special Edition
 –

Superb RPG

I played this on Xbox a couple of years ago and it was a brilliant game then. Stunning graphics, a very interesting and varied plot, and great characterisation.

Although I haven't tried the Mac version yet, assuming it's the same game as the Xbox version then I thoroughly recommend it. It is such a beautiful game that it is almost like being inside a movie.

I originally bought Jade Empire because it was made by Bioware, and I loved the Baldur's Gate series. At first I was a bit concerned that the combat might be too complicated, as I am not into martial arts games. However it was very quick and easy to learn, and extremely rewarding. Although the combat did have more depth than the average RPG, it was not too demanding and I quickly got to grips with it. It's probably even easier on a keyboard than with a console controller.

Because of the long history of this game, there are massive of hint sites and game guides around. More casual gamers will find these particularly useful.

The best part of Jade Empire for me was the earlier stages. There are so many quests and the game world is very detailed, expansive and open. Later on, as with most RPGs, it becomes a bit more linear as it follows the storyline to the plot finale. But even then there were plenty of choices to make and different things to do.

Geneforge 5: Overthrow
 –

Absolutely wonderful game

Like all Spiderweb Software titles, Geneforge 5 has amazing gameplay and a really interesting, vivid storyline.

It is really complete as an RPG in every aspect, from character development - class, levelling, equipment and so on - to varied and interesting quests and a lot of significant moral choices.

You can play very much as a single character, or you can raise a little army of different creatures to help you fight. After a while they become like pets - even though you should probably reabsorb them and build stronger ones later on, you can get really attached to your starting creations.

Best of all is how original the storyline is. You don't need to have played any previous Spiderweb games, or even any previous Geneforge ones. Geneforge 5 has a completely stand-alone, original and unique plot. But if you do enjoy this you will almost certainly want to go and play earlier games in the series, as well as Spiderweb's brilliant Avernum series.

Geneforge 5 will give you dozens of hours of gameplay even if you rush through it. And if you take your time - exploring every nook and cranny - you are likely to get well over 100 hours of enjoyment from it. The game is also very replayable as there are so many factions and plotlines, it is really like getting a game and a half, rather than just one game. Whole areas, quests and NPCs will be quite different depending on who your allies are.

My Tribe
 –

ehhhhh....

I was ADDICTED to this game the first week or so I got it, but after a while it gets really boring, there is nothing much to do in it afetr you unlock everything, and it's REALLY annoying when your tribe dies and you have to start all over!

Fitness Frenzy
 –

*WRETCHES*

I played this game for 6 minutes and it made me want to barf. Just look at the image people, doesnt that look horrendous? Unless your really out of shape and you need to lose weight, all the vomiting will let you lose a good 5 pounds a day. Im disgusted by this. You click on the person and then the equipment they want, they start complaining! They whine about the mat being taken, AND THERE IS NO WAY TO GET A SECOND MAT!!! I only got to level two, so I might be wrong. But I dont even WANT to get farther. Couldn't they have added Azada or Dream Day in the Holiday bundle instead?

Good Game!

Divertente, molto semplice ma per chi ama il genere lo trovo un ottimo passatempo, praticamente io ci gioco almeno un oretta al giorno.

Not as much depth...

As other Paradox titles, but its entertaining and yes, like the previous reviewer stated you'll need to spend some time learning how the play.
