– Good game, very enlightning! This is really a good game, if you like have any questions about the ongoing conflict in Gaza, this game gives you insight like few other newsmedia can. But it would do more good if it was given away. by Matteus Sobczynski, Denmark - Jan 10th 2009

– Stimulating! The level of play is not s easy that you beat it at one go (given that there are about 50 levels) but at the same time it is rewarding. If you like time-management & hidden object games this will appeal to you. I had so much fun playing this game. I would like to see Go-Go Gourmet: Chef of the Year on here. I've tried searching for the mac version online. One suggestion I have is to make a game about the restaurant because you work/play so hard to put it together! I RECOMMEND this game!! by Daisy Noelle, USA - Jan 10th 2009

– Absolutely Spellbinding...As expected from a Spiderweb title, GF5 merges not-so-stellar graphics and sound with a truly stellar plot and character development. The graphics themselves, as limited as they are, are a welcome improvement over past Spiderweb games - the engine now supports widescreen resolutions, which is a long-overdue feature. The morally ambiguous progression of both the PC and the plot are still here, which may leave people crossing over from Spiderweb's Avernum series (like myself) a little frustrated. There's plenty to see, do, and kill, though the combat may prove too overwhelming in some areas for the less-hardcore crowd. Overall, I highly recommend it - the immersivity of the plot and gameworld, not to mention the depth of the characters and the choices they are faced with more than outweighs the graphics and sound deficiencies. At least this means that this game is still quite playable on older hardware, and is great for MacBook or Mac mini users with Intel GMA graphics. At the very least, it's worth trying out the demo, which for a demo is huge and gives you a very good feel for the game's tone and playing style. Notably, I would have given this game five stars but for a rather pesky bug which on my system limits sounds to one channel (other users have reported no problems with the sound, but others have on the Spiderweb forums). by Justin Ancheta, Canada - Jan 9th 2009

– Book of duds...don't bother! It is way to easy and simplistic. It ends abruptly and is not worth the money. I am very dissappointed in this purchase. by Alyse Laing, USA - Jan 7th 2009

– A Nightmare to playThe game has crashed at least 5 times now with a weird error message when I try to restart. I've never had a game crash before. I'm so annoyed by the mini games sucking up my time so that I have to do the level all over again if it takes too long to figure out what the heck I'm supposed to do. I've spent so much time cursing, I forgot that games are supposed to be fun. This is the most awful game I've ever played, and I've played a lot. The only thing keeping me going right now is wanting to see if my theory is right about what happened. Like watching a bad movie to the end... the sad part is this will probably take much longer than a movie. by iceprincess0966, USA - Jan 7th 2009

– Wonderful in every wayThe only bad thing I can say is that I spent far too many hours playing this instead of working! I got tired at the end, but only because I'd been playing for so many hours my clicking finger was numb. The music is amazing. The accompanying "story" graphics are not so great but the actual game graphics are incredible and some of the animals are oh so cute. The story behind it is pretty interesting, but the game would still be fun without it. Spoiler alert? There is such great satisfaction in making a move that breaks a chain and sends things popping and spilling all over. It's great stress relief. by iceprincess0966, USA - Jan 7th 2009

– Better than expectedok, the graphics are dated, you can't play individual maps after beating them, and its a little over-priced: that said, Legion Arena is just plain FUN. Building and throwing vast armies at each other, utilizing Terrain (has a large impact on battles), unit type match ups (even larger impact), and moral boosters (huge!) makes the game very playable. Soldiers you train have dozens of upgrades, and can have a blast finding ways to outwit your enemy in the campaign: will my elephants break up their phalanx? Can my archers thin down the cavalry charge enough that my poor militia have a chance? realistic enough to pass scrutiny, but the interface is simple, and you can be merrily slaying celts in no time. Not a bargain, but if you've got $40 bucks to blow, you could do a lot worse. by Aaron Dyck, USA - Jan 5th 2009

– Very ComplexThis is one of my favorite games. I have probably played it for hundreds, if not thousands, of hours, and have still yet to master it's finer intricacies. The one potential problem people might have is that it can be difficult to get a handle on the game play, it's extremely complex, especially at higher difficulty levels, where minor changes can dramatically impact your success. True, the graphics aren't astounding, but that just means that you can focus on gameplay, and it will run on lower-performance machines. by Patrick Rogers, USA - Jan 5th 2009

– My All-Time Favorite GameThe graphics alone make this a winner, but the storyline-traveling around the world and solving scrabble puzzles as you move along- is so much fun. The boards are each different and challenging, and your score can dramatically improve or fall each time you play each one. It can rain or snow during the game, and you can watch such things as sheep walk their fields, camels or cattle graze, or see falling leaves. There are special squares that can boost your score way up and a helpful traveling companion who will give you a hint if you need one. I've learned so many new words (actually learned them) from playing this game so I'm a better Scrabble and crossword player in real life. I have every word game on the market and this is far and away the best. I very highly recommend it. by Jano145, USA - Jan 3rd 2009

– About a 7 out of 10Nothing about this game thrilled or blew me away but at the same time I found it good enough to finish. The best things I can say about the game are the hint system which is the most unique part of the game and the inventory based puzzles. The grahics are better than the first Hidden Mysteries game: Civil War , so if you liked that you will be sure to like this one. The hidden objects had nothing to do with the story or theme and there wasn't much depth to the story. It was a decent hidden object game but nothing great! by K.Baillie, Canada - Jan 3rd 2009

– I Love this GameYes, it's simple to learn and easy to play. The game gets more difficult as it goes along but is still pretty easy to beat. What I love are the wonderful graphics and little challenges as the game progresses. It's such a fun, upbeat game and a very nice way to pass the time. It's the first timed game I've ever enjoyed. I make it more challenging by requiring the letters touch each other when spelling words. I'm very glad I bought it. by Jano145, USA - Jan 3rd 2009

– FunThis game is way more challenging than I expected, its really a lot of fun for those few minuet intervals where you want to wast some time. My only gripe is that you can't play it in windowed mode, this is a pain for a game with pre-rendered graphics where the bigger your screen the more pixelated it looks. At 30 inches this game looks absolutely terrible. by Jeff McArthur, USA - Jan 3rd 2009

– Simple. Elegant. Beautiful.I found this game to be one of those "easy to pick up, difficut to master." Everything is simple to understand, the world is presented with crisp colors and style, the interface is simple, and the units are not complicated pieces with a myriad of selectable skills. In a word, I think this game is elegant. It satisfies the RTS player in me, but also works when I'm not in the mood for something complicated and twitchy. by Gregory Holden, USA - Dec 31st 2008
