Hahahahahahahahaha. That has been my reaction every few minutes while playing this game.
At its core it is just a really solid match-3 game with some tower defense and RPG elements to spice it up (and they do indeed spice it up a lot). What is really making this game fun for me right now is all the funny, clever, or silly elements thrown in periodically that keep making me laugh the longer I play.
The first boss in the demo is somehow intimidating and hilarious at the same time.
I went ahead and bought the full version and let me just say the fourth boss is pee in your pants funny. It actually took me a few tries to beat him. Probably because I was cackling so hard I couldnt concentrate.
3 minutes into the game and i can only go through one door, which is locked but the piece i need to unlock it is not available anywhere. tried to use the strategy guide to see what to do and it's like multiple pages of the guide are all showing at once & you can't navigate at all. tried to redownoad & install, no better.
I finished it too quickly. Not quite worth the cost in my opinion. The hidden object part was far too easy, almost every object was chosen so you can just click around and get things right. I'd be great for kids.
I really liked that the game was available so quickly for Mac and it it a rather good game, albeit very similar to the previous titles. But alas, it is full of bugs, most of which do not prevent one from finishing the game but they are annoying as hell. Hopefully the Mac version will get patched, the Win version is already one patch level ahead... :-/
It's pretty bad when you make sure your computer meets/exceeds hardware requirements, and the program still doesn't load right. I keep having issues with my main characture being invisible on game load, and enemy charatures being the same way.
I only gave the game three stars because of the frequent, unexplained crashes.
The game play is nice and I enjoy the progressive challenge of the scenarios, but the game tends to crash. Normally, with the autosave feature the crashes would simply be a nuisance; however, the autosave feature does not always work.
Additionally, on occasion the graphics will whack out (the sheep float in mid-air).
Others have noted that the view only minimally zooms out, so navigating or getting a bird's eye view of the progress is not optimal.
I'm not disappointed that I purchased the game, but be aware of the need to frequently save your game!
It took me a while to figure out what I was supposed to do, and even longer to figure out how to exit, which was my closing out the complete application. Basically you find an arrow that takes you to a bejeweled type of game, collect money, repeat. I only got several stages through when it became to repetitive and aI quit.
Once my joystick was hooked up I was always looking to the left...drove me crazy. Maybe there are fixes - but it shouldn't be so crazy to figure it all out.
Graphics do not display correctly with Intel HD graphics
Played a few minutes of demo. The graphics do not display correctly. There is no video in the introduction. Text does not show in some boxes and in the description of inventory items. A lot of flashy video in some scenes. This is really not playable if you have the Intel HD3000 video graphics. I think the problems are only with the Intel HD graphics, but be sure and demo to make sure it plays on your machine.
The developers have been informed about this problem since it also occurs in the game available at other sites.
I played part of this game before the Apple 10.7.5 update on my MacBook and thought it was a very good game with great graphics and a good story. So, if your system will play it, it's a great hidden object/adventure game.
(As long as the driver is installed lubricates the game from the start. THe graphics are good, but that's it already. The gameplay is indeed clear, but a progress without help is impossible in some situations. Only recommended for hardcore fans.)
I very much enjoyed the first Two Worlds game as a semi-emersive, semi-casual gaming exeriance; the kind of game I could play for a few hours and then put it back on the shelf.
Sadly, Two Worlds II is nothing like the first. While still a fun game at times, I felt the controls were a sloppy, the level progretion a bore and the story line subpar.
Now, I will give the game this, my computer just met the minimum requirements to play, so, had I been on a faster machine there is the possibility that I may have enjoyed things a whole lot more, but, as it is, I've spent two hours playing and will probably not play again.
As a final note, I also purchased the game for the discounted rate and have no hard feelings towards it what-so-ever.
If you have the opportunity to pick the game up for cheap, go for it; but I wouldn't pay full price.
Gameplay is simply imppossible after a few levels; you can't easily switch colors or plan powerups. there seeme to be no logic here, and for that reason I can't recommend this game.
This was quite an enjoyable game. Excellent story, compelling adventure, voiceovers, widescreen, achievements, good mix of puzzles and Hidden Object scenes, stunning graphics. But the bonus chapter was very short, a prequel that did not really give much background at all. You really won't need the strategy guide; achievements are available in the standard edition, bar the one for finishing the bonus chapter. There are even some other extras in the SE.
