The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition
 –

Not Ready for Mac!

Downloaded this game 12/24/12. The "Arena" combat worked OK, but I couldn't get through the Tutorial (some functions didn't work). The Witcher website offers patches for the PC version, but not the Mac version, so I'm guessing that the missing patches are the source of the problem. Unfortunately, the Support staff is on vacation until Jan. 2! So, Mac users, be prepared for disappointment, if you take advantage of the discount to buy this game now.

Very short but quite good

As another reviewer has warned, this game is extremely short, but what's there is beautifully rendered and entertaining.

Kuros

Weak

Didn't make it to the end of demo before I realized that this was way to easy for me. If your a pro, you don't have a choice to skip tutorials. The main character keeps popping up and is annoying. She tells you what you need to do next.

Edna & Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes
 –

Stay away

Interminable dialogues, pointless and illogical storyline, ridiculous puzzles, and light-hearted treatment of serial killing and youth suicide. Terrible.

Royal Envoy 2 Collector's Edition
 –

Excellent Value - You Get Weeks Of Gameplay

Ok so my #1 thing in PC/Mac gaming is that I do NOT want to be screwed over by buying a game & then having it last me a few days or even just a week. Honestly, I don't want the game to only last me 2 or 3 weeks, but in the past 2 years, that has become absolutely unheard of any longer.

Because of this unforunate plummet of value in casual gaming that devs think we'll just stand for, I hadnt been buying any games. The norm has just basically become that games are now in general really short as a rule and that STINKS. Found this, gave it a try & Royal Envoy 2 is finally breaking that trend. Seriously, why cant more games be like this?
Freakin finally! A game that you can play for a good, long while. Especially if you get the Collector's Edition. I was so appreciative of all RE2 had that I played thru and then bought the CE. lol thats how starved I've been for something of decent value. At this point I'd probably play a bad game as long as it wasnt just a 2 hour hastily put together piece of fluff. But Royal Envoy 2 happened to be fun.
The only bad thing I can say is that clicking on the rent $$ was a little annoying.

Finally

I enjoyed it. Challenging. Good graphics. You can skip dialogue. Plenty of places to investigate. Can play game as a pro without any annoyances.

A New Beginning - Final Cut
 –

Tedious

Tedious gameplay and characters to match. I made it to the end of the second chapter before deciding I'd rather do chores around the house than click random objects and listen to these grumpy characters repeat themselves. I liked the art, but that couldn't save this game.

Northmark: Hour of the Wolf

Good Game but TOO SHORT

This game is quite fun but frankly was way to short for the price paid; I finished it in one evening! Be aware that if you are looking for a longer campain game, this is absolutely NOT it

Plants vs. Zombies Game Of The Year Edition
 –

Braaaaaains!

Picked this up on sale a few days ago, and haven't been able to put it down. I've never been a fan of Tower Defence type games, but this one oozes charm, has a perfectly pitched difficulty curve (although some levels are a bit tricky with a trackpad), is packed with mini-games and extras, and is definitely worth the asking price.

Space Pirates And Zombies
 –

Fun game, addicting it seems.

Tried this out without any expectations and found myself engrossed. It has some rough edges with the UI, and some of the action can be a bit too fast paced/hectic, but after a little practice and working up a nice crew of ships and mods, things got rolling good.

The storyline progresses the game towards a somewhat end, but you are not forced along it. There are tons of solar systems to explore between each step of the story. Much like all space games are (with the exception of Homeworld series).

Definitely worth it if you are any kind of space game fan (even all the way back to the days of Space Rogue).

Cargo Commander (old publish)

Could be a great game...

Interesting concept game. Odd gravity situations and action, neat sound effects with distances... but... movement is horrible (jerky fast and cheesy), and the wormhole situation when you are in the middle of trying to find stuff is just ridiculous annoying. The game has its merits, and is worth a play through, but there are some annoying design choices that prevent me from really raving about it.

Assassin's Creed 2 Deluxe Edition
 –

Works great on intel imac 3.2 ghz 4gig ram

Minor glitches include the occasional forced quit and at least two or three times my assassination target failed to spawn, forcing me to abandon memory and restart. that said gameplay is awesome. fully customizable controls. i highly suggest using a gaming mouse rather than a game controller, as it does not appear the game has support for controllers. My 15 button gaming mouse made the game come to life and it is really an amazing game. Going straight into the sequels.

Mystery Case Files: 13th Skull Collector's Edition

Can't get it played on Macbook Pro Retina 15

My experience with this game on an iPad was awesome; however, I couldn't play it on my MBPr 15. When started, the screen just goes blank, but I can still here the voice of the opening scene. Any recommendation how to solve this?

The Settlers 7 Paths to a Kingdom: Deluxe Gold Edition
 –

Dont seem to work well on Macbook Pro 2012

I agree with what another user here said. There was an update to newer Macbook Pro's Graphic drivers ( The Macbooks with Nvidia 650 cards ) and since then the game ends up in a white screen. After about two months of "supportcases" with ubisoft I'm totally giving up. It feels like I've been robbed basically. I'm sure though that it works fine on other hardware but if you are a Macbook Pro 2012 owner I just cannot recommend it.

Grim Facade: Sinister Obsession
 –

Short ending

Cool game, liked the puzzles, didn't like that the demo finished not long before the game was actually finished if you paid for it. Waste of money.

The Cross Formula
 –

Mostly hidden object

Most of the game is hidden object, with a few puzzles, some entertaining. Each chapter includes a jigsaw type activity that I found boring. Partway through the game it crashed and then when I re-opened it, it started at an earlier point in the game, and several crucial steps would no longer work, so the game couldn't continue. Disappointing.
