    Fun Game, worthwhile purchase*****

Got the key, downloaded the game and have currently played for a couple hundred hours. I got what I wanted with my purchase, and enjoyed it.

    Worthy sequel*****

UPDATE: Came back to this after a staying away from first-person shooters for a while and found it much more enjoyable. I'm pretty close to the endgame and I had a good time getting there (except for fighting the constructors—those are a pain). Not quite as happy with the weapons this time around. Still think the first one was better overall, but this is a worthy sequel.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: For some reason I can't quite describe, my response to Borderlands 2 is pretty much "Meh."

I loved the first Borderlands. Played through it a couple of times with different classes. Had a blast. Great atmosphere, enjoyable story, crazy guns.

Starting out Borderlands 2, though, I just couldn't get involved. Perhaps it's too much of the same. I've put more than a few hours into it but just can't find the motivation to continue. Kinda disappointing, because I was really looking forward to it.

(Note: My copy was purchase through the Mac App Store — I couldn't get Steam to function on my Mac at the time.)
