I, Personally, love this game. Might and Delight fully delivered, evolving the sequel of Shelter into one of the best playable visual experiences I have ever seen. Shelter 1 was about the circle of life, and how you have very little control in that circle. Shelter 2 is very free, but with your freedom comes consiquences. My first play through was so emotional. Like every game, I thought I could cheat the system and just mess around, and I didn't get away with it.
In short, play this game, or at least give it a chance. I can almost ensure you will have no regrets!
This is the pinacle of gaming. Everything is brought full circle. Rapture, columbia. You'll see if you play it, and I URGE all of you to play it! Combat is turned on it's head when you play as Elizabeth, relying on stealth and lock picking instead of mad hellfire from above. The end is bittersweet but all in all PERFECT! if you loved Infinite, you will LOVE Burial at Sea. Irrational could've just released it as a direct and wholly seperate sequel to infinite!
This game is amazing. The story I cannot say much about to avoid spoilers, but I CAN say it is amazing. I will instead focus on gameplay.
A good game has a great story, intuitive controls, and the ability to replay. This game delivers all of that. The story is excellent, the visuals are fantastic, the controls are a dream, combat is the most FUN experience I've ever had, using vigors and bullets to my advantage, and since you can only carry two weapons, I have to experience all the others in a future replay, adding, guess what, REPLAY ABILITY!
Buy the game. I got it on sale, but the $30 is worth every penny, even the DLC. You will have NO regrets!
Maybe it's my computer, but this game LAGS. It's perfect is almost everything else. Visuals are a real plus, but the lag just makes the game not fun to play.
When a debugging update make Myst run better, play it, it's amazing. For now, don't get it, not worth it.
Where do I start? Telltale has been notorious for revolutionizing gaming with choice and consequence. All their games are GOOD, but few could be considered EXCELLENT. This game is EXCELLENT. Perfect combinations of emotion and humor, superb characters, the perfect package. Even if you haven't played Borderlands games, or even hate the games, you will probably have a wonderful time with this!
Best intros to a game I've ever seen. Worth the money! I say play it, it won't disappoint!
This game is nostalgic, thrilling, and the story is amazing! Paired with excellent controls, the game is near perfect! My only complaint is that you need both episodes for the full experience.
It is worth every penny! Any player of Infinite will love this!
This game is an 11/10 for visuals. It's the most beautiful game I've ever seen yet! It does, however, lag on my 2013 13'' macbook air, despite meeting minimum requirements.
Wait for a debugging update for better performance. When that happens, PLAY AWAY! With smoother performance, this game will be perfect.
Most of hte ones I've come across are just find-hidden-objects-for-2-minutes and repeat. This had an engaging story/mystery with mini-games, including hidden objects.
This game is awesome. Graphics wise, it's quite good actually. The action takes place somewhat in most cases in the dark, creeping in the shadows like in "Thief". This game, like thief, is all about stealth. Not a go about blow up everything shooter. It's based on logic. I have to admit, this game is ridiculously hard. Been playing this on and off for 6 months now. I could get stuch on a level for days. The AI is relentless and the health metre does not help one bit. I like the adrenaline rush mode, but that's the only thing useful in the game really. The story line is interesting. One for keeps.
I have been enthralled with the standard edition of this game from the moment of download but was disappointed that I couldn't find the Collector's Edition at that time. I am so glad to have found it here at the Mac Game Store. I have written a stellar review of the standard version of 4 Elements II on this very site (entitled "Perfect") where I talked a lot about how the game works. So I won't repeat myself here as the bulk of this game is the same as the standard version. However, the bonus section in the Collector's Edition is supplemental and completely in and of itself worth the full price of admission! Bonus Levels can be accessed on the intro page under "Challenges" but they are not unlocked until you have completed the entire 4 Chapters and 64 Levels of the "standard" game. And to be sure, these bonus Levels are exactly that: CHALLENGES! They are significantly more difficult, mainly because the Timer is really, really stingy in the Challenges. True, I could play "Relaxed" and not have to deal with that, but I love racing against the clock. It is rather the point for me. I had to do almost all of the Challenges several times and even when I successfully made my way to the Altar, it was always just barely and to the sound of the gong!! The Challenge fields are gloriously long and convoluted! In addition, there are so many Beacons, Mines and Magic Arrows that must be released in order to make your way to the Altar and they are usually tucked in alcoves or behind frozen cells or double cells. And then there are often fields of rocks on cells... just plain rocks... rocks, rocks and more rocks... interspersed with a seemingly minuscule number of chips to match and clear. The first one of those I encountered I figured there had to be a trick to get through it and sure enough there is. Some of the Challenge scenarios were never presented in the first 64 so even though it's familiar, it's different at the same time. It all adds to the excitement and challenge of the game for me. It's like a new game. I am experiencing the excitement that I felt when I played the standard version for the first time. I absolutely LOVE this game. My favorite for sure. So if you're going to get 4 Elements II, get THIS version, the Collector's version. For less than the price of a movie outing with popcorn, you could have this game, which has entertained me for hours and hours. And hours.
While there are some traditional hidden object type scenarios, most of the gameplay revolves around the story of finding Tim who accidentally awoke a giant with his magic beans. Hidden object pieces are scattered throughout each scene which can be acquired when the time is right. I suppose that is my only complaint about the game in that it is fairly linear and clicking on things can generate the response, "Maybe I should come back later." There are some other mini-games within the story as well, but they are very easy to solve so you don't feel like stopping. Starting where one left off is also very straight forward, no cut scene to skip every time one launches the game. That is appreciated.
I bought this for my boys...what a disappointment! $25 and only the first story is available! Episode two "coming soon" has been displayed for the month that we've been trying to play this. Worst purchase ever.
I liked the graphics, story ok, puzzles easy, not too many hidden pictures. BUT, it doesn't run smoothly. cursor is jumpy and sticks and then everything freezes. I had to do a force quit many many times to try and get through the game. Now, I know my system requirements meet or exceed what is necessary and that is what is so frustrating. My advice is don't even try it.
