As a freebie I can't complain. However, if purchased note that it really feels more like a DLC for Airport Madness 3D.

The republic is a good DLC for experienced players. it gives some areas a change on how the dynasty is run and gives a good challenge particularly to the early game.

I purchased it and received key immediately.I have play this game,it really good.I will spend so much time on it.

CKII is a very special game in strategy... it's not very common a dynastic intrigues simulator.

This expansion adds bloodlines, deeper Crusades, more ways to interact with your neighbours and means to trascend your mortal life and have an impact in everyone's life with sainthood.

Very useful DLC and definite buy if you can catch it in a sale. Gives you more to manage, but also adds an extra dimension to city management.

It's a great DLC if you play muslim nations with them being fleshed out quite a bit and I also do enjoy the new features such as "Exploit Development" (even though I've never used this one at all I do like to have the option if needed) and "Army Professionalism/Army Drilling" which I use quite a lot. Especially to be able to get extra manpower for 5% professionalism. That's quite useful.

However, while all these are great to have they don't really change the overall gameplay too much so therefore I can't call this DLC completely essential and especially not at full price unless you want to play a lot in the middle east area. However at a discount it is well worth it for everyone, I think!
