I played this game after playing Arkham Asylum and its.. transfixing. From the first point where you are suddenly dropped into gameplay in a "disadvantaged situation" to where you finally make a climatic finale that leaves you questioning the justice and moral right behind the "Caped Crusader", this game is a spine tingling ride that totally enraptures. You get to level up and try different BatGadgets (as you would expect), but the core of the game is about the inner journey that Batman is making - is it revenge, redemption, or something more? With plenty of sidequests to bulk up game time and level, this is one that I returned to again and again.
One of the interesting challenges in this game is working out exactly what needs to be done to meet the objectives, and what is a distraction. Decided that you would like a nice hotel business on the side? Well, if that isnt part of the mission, you can expect your money to run out real quick! Also interesting is the scenarios - you can find yourself with (quite literally) an unexpected gold mine - but beware, environmental activists will scream blue murder as soon as shovels break ground, and watch out for the pollution levels rising and tourists to turn a little green on the beach! Listening to the radio is a laugh a minute - wait until your latest action gets turned around "El presidente is keeping the polluting gases for himself and his cronies that made us strong!" as an example. A fun game, and challenging. Worth playing
I have this game on Mac and Xbox, and its great on both. The gameplay is chillingly immersive, with a great feel for Frank Miller's "Dark Knight" ethos as opposed to the fun and jokey 70's batman. Play this game, and step into the world of the Dark Knight - one where madness and fear are just tools to be used in Batman's war on crime.
I bought this game and was entranced by its immersion into a new world. Once I got used to the various indicators (still not quite sure of the difference between Vigor and Vitality!) I was off and loving the storyline - clearly aimed at an adult audience and showing the background in literature. When I got to the end I was able to go back and play through again, this time taking the "opposite" side, and was exposed to a range of quests and gameplay I had not seen at all first time round, which to me is a great bonus. The second play through was much darker, showing what can happen when a theocracy seizes power and does violence in the name of belief. A really enjoyable game, and the few quirks in gameplay did not detract from that.
I bought this game after playing the sequel (Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings) and was first struck by the difference in combat - combat in W1 is admittedly a little clunkier than combat in the second version. However, Signs and Melee work well together and the meditation process is actually a little better (you need a fireside to sit and think beside). Levelling up the character made more sense to me too, I found it easier to pick and choose the attributes I wanted. I had hours and hours of fun with this game, and loved it.
I played through TW2 and Chapters 1 and 2 I really enjoyed, the pace and levelling of the character worked well and I loved the CRAFT system where you get to enhance your weapons. Also the cerebral challenge of the magic, once I got the hang of it, was great. Things started to go wrong in chapter 3, which was essentially "Run back and forth through respawning monsters" with a Boss at the end. Chapter 4 was a real disappointment - rather than a logical climax to the RPG, it was tacked on with ridiculous enemies, plot reversals that are not explained, and all in all felt like the dev team had been told "never mind the quality, get the product out this week". In addition, why all the wasted map space? You get the impression that there is likely to be a long and enjoyable exploration/quest, but no. Just lots of empty space.
This has put me off TW2 and anything else from this game factory - the engine is good, the promise is there, but I didn't see it fulfilled.
This game is terrible, its completely rediculous, i spent 1 hour and couldnt even get off the ground. You try to get help online but people are either terrible at explaining or totoal jerks. The game doesnt even have a tutorial, whats the point of buying a game you have to work so dam hard to play. I know its a simulator, but seriusly, it should have a disclaimer saying dont buy unless you know this game or have hours to practice learing all sorts of random commands. I get that it shouldn't just show you, but cant it have a tutorial, syaing here is the ignition, heres breaks etc. I use to play A-10 attack and that was 10 years ago and it was a million times better than this.
If you're a fan of everything Walking Dead I HIGHLY recommend this game. It completely captures the emotional and survival aspect of the show. It will definitely leave you wondering if you made the right decisions in certain situations. The atmosphere is amazing. The art work and graphics were tailored to a drawn comic book feel and wonderfully done. Great soundtrack. Replay value is there to do things differently. TellTale did an excellent job on coming through on such a highly anticipated game. With out a doubt I would jump on another series!! 10/10
I like the way the interface works; smooth and you can keep matching while the other matches are going on, but the boards aren't very challenging. If the boards were timed, it would be better, as it is, you seem to have all the time in the world to finish the board.

Definitely worthwhile
I didn't know if I would like this game but the graphics are excellent, the puzzles challenging and clever, and the physics of the game are stunningly realistic. There are enough power-ups to keep you motivated and they really help with subsequent levels. The story is simple but appealing. Highly recommended!
This was a fun one. A straight forward "shoot 'em up" that also requires a bit of strategy. The controls are a bit tough to get used to. You have to move using the keyboard to drive and the mouse to target and shoot, something that doesn't sound terribly difficult but ends up being a bit more challenging in practice. The $6.99 price tag is quite reasonable for a game that has such clean, colorful graphics and is sufficiently challenging to play.
Generally I enjoy this but I HATE those levels where the game chooses the plants and defenses you will use. This is a particular problem in Level 18, where there are not enough spots to place said plants, so you are left with the weakest plants. It is impossible to get past the 15th wave out of 21. I hate to admit it but I have replayed this level so many times that I no longer want to bother with this game.
When you consider that this happens at the EASIEST level, this makes no sense...the creators really screwed up on this one.
