Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller - Episode 2: The Wise Monkey

Bad graphics and voice acting

All the games in this series have a somewhat good story, but terrable graphics and bad voice acting. I bought this game because it was $0.99, but its not worth the price. I'm giving it two stars instead of one because the story is at least slightly good.

Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller - Episode 3: The Oracle

Don't expect a good game

While this game is a good time killer, the bad graphics and voice acting do not draw the player in. You should only buy this game if you feel like wasting the $0.99 you will spend on it.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
 –

Morbid extravaganza

I have this game for at least a year now and it is my go to stress relief. Hard day? Just chop some heads off. Now i picked it here for my friend in a great discount, so we can play together. Fun multiplies.

Features:
Solid first person hack and slash. There is currently no better game for first person fencing.
A lot of different weapons, that greatly affect your gameplay.
Game does not have matchmaking - only server list, but there is a lot of official and community servers, also with a lot of newbie servers. Only problem is when you met an Australian lagger on UK server.
Solid graphics with funny dismemberment mechanics.
Hedas rolling down the hill.
Warhammer multikills.
Pinning people to walls with ballistas.
Press "C" to shout.

Pixel Heroes - Byte & Magic
 –

Great time waster!

Beware, this game is pretty darn hard!

You hire three heroes to go on many quests to help the people in your town. Choose your heroes wisely, as this game (like I said) is hard and it won't let you off so easily!

Fun, quirky game that is best played every few hours, as a few hours in you start to get a bit bored, which isn't really a bad thing.

A game you'll love and go back to again, again and again! Worth the money!

Worked with OS 10.10.5

I use to play this game all the time...then suddenly it stopped working...

i contemplated buying a cheap PC just to play again...something about this game is soothing and fun.

I downloaded it two days ago and have been playing all day :)

good times!!

clean fun, simple, strategy based entertainment.

I love this game!
and thanks Apple for not forcing me to have to buy a PC to play a $3 game...also, i dont see why they can't adapt this game to play on mobil/tablets!

when they do cross platforms, ill be throwing my money at it.

Syberia II
 –

A very interesting story

I enjoyed the game. It played well and the character interactions kept the story moving along. The puzzles were mostly fun and some were definitely more challenging than others. A few of the puzzles or stages didn't seem to make much sense, and maybe because I didn't always play through in the expected way, a few of them were frustrating. I'd just have to guess or go trial and error to solve them. However, noticing small things probably would have helped me a bit more if I would have tried to pay closer attention. That happened a few times in Syberia, but more often in Syberia II. The game indicated it was saving at certain points, but when I exited and then returned, I'd have to go back a bit and redo things, not always, but it should have picked up right where I left off or allowed me to save manually to do that. I did like that the characters were individual enough to have their own stories. To make it better, it would have been a great option to have multiple games going at once instead of only one. MacGameStore says that my Mac does not meet the minimum requirements but it installed and played with zero problems. It said it needed OSX 10.8 and I run 10.7.5 on an old Mac Pro 1,1. In spite of some of the small issues, it is a good game if you are patient and like to be challenged. If you want easy puzzles and blast through 1-2-3 for a quick finish then this might not work well for you. I think it is definitely worth the price and recommend it.

Avadon
 –

Still Holds Up

Those that are serious RPG gamers will like diving into the world of Avadon. Its a classic RPG that relies heavily on reading and exploring. There are large maps to explore and lots of missions to take on or not take on, with of course lots of managing your character and the loot you collect, buy and sell. And I still think the graphics just make the cut and look great.

Well worth the price

This game reminds me of how the series of games "The legend of Zelda" evolved over time. It starts looking a lot like the NES Legend of Zelda and it keeps moving forward as you advance in the game. I consider it to be a piece of memorabilia. It is nice to play and definitely worth the price. I find certain parts annoyingly slow to go through, but for the most part I enjoy playing this game.

BioShock Infinite - Season Pass

Good pack

Getting this as a pack instead of single DLC's is a no brainer. While Clash In the Clouds is pretty much standard weapon pack, the prize lies within story DLC's of Elizabet and of return to the city of Rapture.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut
 –

Monster Slaying and Politicking

The game is a little rough around the edges, but it still provides many hours of entertainment. The atmosphere is great and the unique characters that you meet are interesting. The rest is a world of clones, so better ignore them.

Quite some things are left vague or unexplained, and there is no black and white morality, which is good. The game does adapt its script to your important choices, so you can't really regret picking one side over the other. The games does assume a certain disposition and attitude, which can be jarring when you have another vision of Geralt in mind. For example, not liking Triss.

I didn't care for the lover cards and the inventory management, but you can ignore those for the most part. You only ever need to bother with Swallow and Cat potions, the rest have their uses but are not essential.

The combat takes some getting used to, but once you get it you can take down hordes of monsters with ease. Except for a few boss battles, which consist mostly of running around while your regenerate, before whacking the bad guy some more.

I played through the game some years ago, siding with the nonhumans. The third chapter was hell, because the game kept crashing when walking through the city. I am happy to say that this problem is gone after a game update. I recently played again - siding with the humans this time - and only had the occasional crash.
