What a treat! So many "adventure/hidden object games" are the same story and pattern over and over again. I love this game because it fills me with wonder at every new scene. The HOS have a few new twists, which is nice, and the puzzles vary in difficulty from easy to "have to think". Thanks to the devs for thinking outside of the box!
This is a fun little game, kind of a "Torchlight Lite" if you will. It's a kinder, gentler hack-and-slasher in the Diablo genre. It gets kind of dull after awhile, but it's nice to come back to every now and again. Great voice talent.

It crashes a fair amount, in about 20 minutes of gameplay it crashed 3 times, usually right in the middle of a level. Even more annoying than that is that the food/drink items you're meant to pick to make up dishes for customers don't always draw properly so you're left hunting around on the screen for something which isn't actually there...you have to use the hint a fair amount to find them but usually once you have they'll always be in the same place. Other bugs seem to be that certain levels are impossible to achieve expert level on as you're limited by the time and therefore the customer you'll have. All in all it could have been a really interesting variation on the hidden object/time management but it just ends up proving frustrating due to the crashes/bugs
...I'm finding it hard to fathom how a game from 2008 is worth $20...it's pretty interesting in that the hidden object scenes you can actually see items...so many ho's seem to think hiding everything in darkness or giving a vague outline for an item that could be a beach ball or an orange is okay...so in that respect this game has got it sorted...still wouldn't pay $20 for it though.
This game is visually awesome, the turn based combat is fun and has great variety, and is ripe full of content. I'm only around 5 hours or so in and I'm enjoying the heck out of this game! I've never played much of a turn based game before, but now that I've tasted of the glory I think I quite like it! Thanks to the developers for producing and creating this solid game.
This is a fun one for multiple ages. In addition to the basic game of finding the jigsaw puzzle pieces and then putting them together, it has a variety of mini-puzzles you have to work your way through. These include a jigsaw puzzle, logic puzzles and a couple of games reminiscent of the old-style DOS computer games that can be frustrating at first because they demand much more patience than modern computer games. Get it for the kids, then play it yourself when they have gone to bed!
Loaded on the new just released Mac Mini 2.6Ghz with 8G ram and Intel Iris video card. It says on the Mac Game Store that the video card is not supported.
So far so good. I did also install Adobe flash player.
It's pretty good. The pace is kinda slow so I don't feel apart of the story as much as some games. But you know, the more I play Blackguards the more I like it, and the pace is picking up. And I think Sean Bean is the main character's voice, so that ups Blacguards for sure!
I'm playing on my 13 inch Macbook 2010 and I have to have the settings on Medium/Normal to make Blackguards playable. But it does work and looks good.
Pros: Good voice acting Cool story Fighting/Gameplay Great graphics Nice RPG Leveling up Lots of Charcters to control
Cons: Slower pace (though as the story progresses, there is more fighting!) Only Interactive for Fighting
