Witches' Legacy: Lair of the Witch Queen Collector's Edition
 –

Fun with witches

In this game you'll find talking trees, ghosts, a lot of magic of course and a sad girl who is out for revenge. I found most of the game quite fun, although it wasn't scary (for me at least). You'll get an imp as a helper. One of the achievements is to interact with him.

The graphics are a bit grainy, especially in the HOS. The sound and voice overs on the other hand, are ok. I thought that the mayor sounded so funny so I couldn't stop laughing.

The HOS are interactive lists and the mini games vary in difficulty. The jumpable map shows available tasks and the hint is directional. There are many collectables, 42 morphing objects and 45 puzzle pieces. The bonus game could just as well been a part of the main game. If I'm not totally wrong, it's the same locations and same HOS there too.
Anyway, this isn't an easy game, but not a hardcore game either.

There's not much wrong with this game so those who like magic, witches etc. can try it.

4 Elements II
 –

Perfect

Sadly, I have read reviews on this site and others that do not give 4 Elements II the stellar rating it deserves. So, for those who say it's "boring", "endless" and completely lacking in both rhyme and reason, I am here to say that there is not only reason but purpose, not simply rhyme but poetry. It has provided me with hours of entertainment and I have completed it several times so it very most definitely has an end. Please remember that this is a Match 3 game so if you simply prefer a different genre, stick with what you prefer. No need to bash a perfectly designed Match 3, which this game is in my opinion.

That being said, the object of the game is to get the Magical Energy from one end of the field to the Altar at the other end of the field in the amount of time allocated by the timer. It's that simple. But the Magical Energy flows only through the cleared cells of the field, so you have to clear cells by dragging the cursor over 3 or more adjacent same-color Chips. As you progress to higher levels, the fields become increasingly lengthy and convoluted. The Guiding Arrow is always there to show you the way and as it moves along, the field moves too. At first this is a bit disconcerting, but then you realize that it is absolutely necessary as there is no way to see the entire field onscreen at one time [even on my 27-inch iMac!] and that's why there's also a Map you can click on to see exactly where you are at any given time.

There are impediments along the way, like Metal Plates, Rocks, Frozen Cells and closed Gates. Conversely are also weapons that can destroy them or tools that can open them up like Magic Arrows and Beacons that are activated by clearing the cells around them and exposing them to the Magical Energy. Sometimes there are disconnected pipelines that need to be reconnected or stone blocks that need to be rearranged in order for the Magical Energy to continue its flow toward the Altar. This all adds to the interest and challenge of the game.

There are bonuses that can be earned by making matches of a particular color of Chip. The Spade bonus is earned by making matches of green color Chips, the Swap bonus is earned by making matches of yellow Chips, etc. The bonuses can help you out tight spaces, however, because they take a while to power up, they should be used sparingly yet strategically.

The fairies are a little cutesy for my taste but I can overlook that as the graphics overall are beautiful and display crisply on a large screen. The music is pleasant and even uplifting in certain chapters. Simple and easy puzzles are interspersed between chapters that are interesting. And you must solve a hidden-object challenge at the beginning of each chapter so there is a bit of variety within the game that makes it all the more enjoyable. If I could give this game 10 stars, I would.

Portal of Evil - Stolen Runes Collector's Edition
 –

Good flow

I found this game very easy, but interesting and enjoyable. The portals gave variations in time and space, which I appreciated. What I didn't like was the graphic style, but it's just me, and I thought that most of the game was brown and grey. Beside from that, the graphics looked good. The sound and most of the voice overs were good too. The main character talked so weird, so she was a bit annoying.

The HOS are slightly interactive lists and there's a kind where you put items back into the scene, like a picture in a frame. I liked that. The mini games are pretty easy.
The jumpable map shows available task and the hint is directional. There are about 15 messages to collect and the bonus game continues where the main game ends.

When I played this game my thoughts went to Dan Brown and his books. His fans could enjoy this game. And I'll recommend it to those who want a relaxing game.

Kingdom: New Lands
 –

A little hard, but extremely rewarding!

For my first few tries, I made some mistakes and I had to start over, but all it all the game is excellent. Well balanced, satisfying, beautiful, chalenging, and when I lost it wasn't the fault of the game. My only request is that they add a feature where you can send archers and royal guards to certain locations. Other than that, the game is fantastic.

The Night of the Rabbit
 –

Enchanting

I've played several Daedalic games and so far haven't really been disappointed by any of them, this one included. This was a beautiful game and quite an enjoyable point and click adventure. It did get occasionally laggy when I played despite meeting the requirements but that might be due to my computer starting to get a little old so I can't say that was an issue with the game itself. Definitely would recommend the game

Broken Age

Have a little patience...

This game is different from anything else I have played. Great design, fun characters, good voiceovers from famous actors, different story and sometimes weird tasks to do.
It took a lot of time finishing the game, since it was a little hard to figure out. If you like a different adventure game and have some patience, this is a fun game.

Dungeon of the Endless - Pixel Pack
 –

One of my all-time favorite titles

The challenge is brutal, fair, addicting, and the multiplayer is a blast. It's simply one of the best PC titles out there today. Graphics are gorgeous, the gameplay engaging, addicting, and balanced, and it plays differently every time thanks to a well-guided procedural dungeon, and the many options for characters, equipment, strategies, and dungeon modifiers. I have this game and all its DLC, and it's worth every penny.

Dreamscapes: The Sandman Collector's Edition
 –

Fun, Fun, Fun

This is a really cute game, fun to play. If you're an experienced gamer, play the Expert mode, as Regular (the one we played) is very easy. This is a fun game, with a better blend of Hidden Object & Adventure aspects to it. I do not care for HO games, but this had a good story, with sensible puzzles. It was short, but after the credits rolled, a Bonus Game was unlocked. This added to the story line in a completely new setting. If your into Achievements, this had a unique way of showing you what you completed. It was like filling in the blanks with images...cute!

All good

Though i feel a bit bitter about getting charged by the editor for extra levels, it's cheap right now and gives the game an extra durability that i'll enjoy plenty
