There are better Humungous Games

The animation is good for this game, but the characters aren't as fleshed out as Putt-Putt or Spy Fox. There are lots of screens to get through, making this game confusing for young children, and the gameplay consists entirely of finding objects on one screen that are required to solve a problem on another. I found the pacing of the game monotonous-swimming from screen to screen, searching for McGuffins, and my 4-year-old son found it frustrating. I do not think the game has a high replay value.

Cities: Skylines - Snowfall
 –

Wait for discount

Not a bad piece of DLC, if you can get it at a discounted price (full price is a bit much IMO). Having to lay down hot water pipes in the ground might make it a bit more realistic but it's ultimately just more busywork.

On the whole, the weather effects are nice and add some immersion (especially now with the cold season approaching), and I feel like I got my money's worth just from the new map theme and expanded transportation options.

The Darkness II
 –

Sympa mais Graphisme un peu outdated!!...

Fonctionne correctement sur yosemite 10.10.5
Sympa mais un peu trop linéaire mon gout.
Merite certainement d'être essayé avec une manette, car jouabilité peu évidente au clavier.

[Working properly on Yosemite 10.10.5
Nice but a bit too linear for my taste.
Certainly deserves to be tried with a joystick, because few obvious gameplay keyboard.]

Detective Quest: The Crystal Slipper Collector's Edition
 –

Beautiful graphics, great animations, original puzzles.

What a beautiful colourful game, full to bursting with every kind of mythical beast you can imagine! My favourite beasts being the unicorn, the griffin, the tree of wisdom and the trhee headed dog! Not only do you get mythical beasts but lots and lots of gorgeous animals and a few rather hot assasins! The HOGs are beautiful and very interactive - an original twist is that rather than find the items listed and remove them from the scene, you are given the actual objects and have to work out where to put them! The map transports you quickly from place to place and also lists the objectives you have to achieve for each area. Puzzles are good with a few original ones in the mix, moderate to easy on difficulty. A fun, beautifully designed game.

Homeworld Remastered Collection
 –

Still an Excellent game!

Way way back I already had this game once in my possession, when I still played on a regular pc. Then I made the transition to a Mac, so obviously from that point on I couldn't play the game any longer (Yes, I admit, I am an Apple freak). Until I saw the game became available for the Mac after a long, long, very long time. And without hesitation I knew I had to have it once more. Because, YES, this game is THAT good! It was an award winning game around the beginning of the new millennium AND IT STILL kicks ass on a GRAND SCALE! I still have to come across that can compete with this game when it comes to a 3D-space RTS game!!

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition
 –

Instant hooked and instant gratification!

Yes, this game can get you hooked INSTANTLY and CONTINUOUSLY! You don't even have to be a hardcore LOTR-fan to enjoy the excitement, the spectacle, the visuals, the story line and all the other perks to spend hours and hours playing this game, because this game in itself is breathtakingly beautiful and exhilirating till the very last second! This is one purchase I haven't regretted at all!! Hell, I'd welcome if they would make another one like this!!!

Kerbal Space Program

Edutainment at its best

A game which is both interesting to play and teaches its players heaps about the basics of Rocket science, whats not to like?

Obviously some parts are still a little 'gamey', but any game if this genre would have its limitations

Hearts of Iron IV
 –

Good game with great potential

The game has alot of great mechanics in it but still needs its endgame to be refined, its a pain to actually end a war as you need to capture every last province of every last enemy to win

Also alot of empires have the same set of generic ideas, but Im sure paradox will slowly add custom national spirits to all countries. So far they've done Poland and Canada and Im sure they will announce and add more as time goes by

Stellaris
 –

Great game but needs a bit more story

The exploration phase of Stellaris is fleshed out and they've added cool endgame events, but the middle is a little dry. This is addressed to a limited extent with the new Leviathans sotry pack, but Im sure Paradox will add more as time goes by

Legacy Tales: Mercy of the Gallows Collector's Edition
 –

Enjoyable game with a few unique features.

Ejoyable game, with some unique features. For example you need to collect many coins that are scattered throughout the many scences of the game in order to open the various treasure chests that contain important items. Initially I found finding the coins difficult but it got much easier once you get your eye in and it became a fun part of the game which i wish more games like this would include. (If you have trouble finding the coins at first then I would recommend turning up the brightness and turning off the widescreen setting). I also enjoyed using the spectre lens which showed up the ghostly ectoplasm in the bonus chapters. The puzzles and locks were all good quality and moderately challenging. The game includes a full strategy guide and a useful map that shows areas of interest and where the missed coins and ectoplasm. The HOGS were clear, bright and interesting and only utilised once. I agree with the previous reviewers comments that the depiction of the characters was in a completely different art style to that of the scenery but I soon found I did not notice it. I enjoyed the way the story was narrated at key points, it helped the game flow nicely.

Echoes of the Past: The Citadels of Time Collector's Edition
 –

Puzzles are the strength of this game

Interesting concept for a game, involves a time machine, a witch, and lots of people frozen in time. Your goal is to repair the various clocks that keep the people trapped and ultimatel, to destroy the time machine. The real strength and beauty of this game lies with the puzzle sections, the art work of which is lovely. There are some really orignal puzzles, I particularly loved the stain glass window game. You can replay some of the puzzles in the extras section after you have completed the full game. The 'hot-spot' scenes are less attractive than the puzzles but still acceptable. I found the HOGS to be different again and are less colourful and distinct than I like, but they were still challenging. Each HOG scene is revisited several times, which was a dissapointment as I enjoy the fresh challenge of a new picture each time. The ending of the game is quite abrupt and leaves you with a black screen (see disscussion below) but there is a bonus chapter in the extras which you can access once you have completed the game (quit the game first and then restart the game to access this).

Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions
 –

Satisfying shoot 'em up

Amazing game, you will love it if you are a fan of twin stick shooters and the previous installments of the series. It has that arcade feel that keeps you wanting to play just one more round. The music and sound that goes along with the game also makes for an immersive experience. It has mouse and keyboard support but is best played with a controller i think.

Avernum 2: Crystal Souls
 –

Epic fantasy adventure with over 50 hours of gameplay

Excellent old-school RPG with tactical turn based combat. As the case with other Spiderweb Software games, it's slightly difficult to recommend though. The game delivers in terms of great world to explore, character development and interesting story as well. However, for people used to current generation of RPGs with full voice-over, character personality, choices, it may be difficult to get into this. It is really closer to Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale type of experience. Coupled with the isometric 2D graphics entire dialogue and quest content is delivered through huge amount of text.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2014
 –

More a education game than a simulation game

In this game, you are tasked with fixing a stream of cars with various problems. At the start of each level, you receive a clipboard with a check list of objectives. Change the brake pads. Check the exhaust. You're also given a note from the customer trying to give more details about what's wrong with the car. Your job is to fix the car, stamp the form, and send your customer on their way.
There's a lot in there for the price, but there's only so much you can fix in a car, and with 75 levels in the main game, along with an "endless mode", things become repetitive fairly quickly.

Asian Riddles
 –

Not quite there

I bought this because I have the awkwardly named 'Egypt Picross Pharaohs Riddles' which I enjoyed very much. The pictures here are too symmetrical, which makes the gameplay more awkward, and several puzzles have more than one solution, so you end up guessing according to the picture rather than solving the puzzle as such. Equally annoying is that you can't cancel a bad guess in mid-move; together they add up to a rather unsatisfying experience.
