Batman: Arkham Asylum
 –

Definitely worth buying.

It runs/feels like a claustrophobic version of Assassin's Creed. There are lots of puzzles and 'Riddler Trophies' to find that give it great replayability. The plot is great, the character bios and interview tapes really bring it to life. I'll probably replay it at some point. The story (If you take your time and sniff the roses, on easy) is probably 12ish hours. I'll probably get Arkham City later on. It isn't too hard and isn't to easy, I had to retry the battle with Bane a few times. The visuals are really nice for a moderately old game, it definitely adds ominous feeling of the island and buildings. 30$ is a steal.

BioShock
 –

It feels a bit dated, but...

It is still a classic. The graphics aren't that bad for such an old game. I found the combat a bit clunky but still enjoyable. It isn't scary like Amnesia, per se, just creepy. I jumped a few times when a splicer suddenly appeared behind me. If you are scared really easily, play the demo and see how you like it. The plot is interesting. Some advice for the game on your first time: unless you're really good at shooters, play on easy with Vita-Chambers turned off. But enough rambling, it's a great game, buy it.

Amusing Tower Defense Lacks Replayability

This is an amusing little tower defense game. The interface seems to be more suited to the iPad than to the Mac, but it is playable nonetheless. The main drawback is that the game is short and lacks re-playability. I feel like I've done everything I can with the game after only 1 day.

Frustrating Interface

Thought this would be a great TA-like game, but I can't seem to get my units to move half of the time. If there are few units in the game, then it doesn't seem to be a problem. But when there are more units, about half of my units seem to ignore my orders.

Dark Alleys: Penumbra Motel Collector's Edition
 –

Well done

Not super long but fairly intricate, with a variety of puzzles, some easy and some challenging. You can play it with hints and walkthrough available, or at two more challenging levels. The storyline and puzzles are clever enough (not always logical: for instance, the player needs to find at least two screwdrivers because the first one you find is unaccountably toseed as soon as its used, only to have a new set of screws to deal with a few minutes later!). The storyline is ghost-themed and the acting is a little hokey but on the I enjoyed the stories, scenes and puzzles.

The Mirror Mysteries: Forgotten Kingdoms

Too short!

The hidden object aspect is good enough, but the casual mode can be played in a day or less. Not worth the money.

The Chronicles of Emerland Solitaire
 –

Absolutely wonderful

This has got to be the longest game known to man. The hands are not easy. There are 2 modes - relaxed and "if you think you are a solitaire wizard". I tried the relaxed mode. Frankly, the hands didn't seem any easier, the awards no greater, and there was still a timer (in either mode it awards points, you do not run out of time),

Along the way you meet people from other kingdoms who join you or your quest and have certain skills - remove a card, give you a random extra card, turn over cards. You can use your money to buy wild cards amulets (more undos, see the next card in the dec, etc.) and companion skill upgrades.

There are 24 levels, 10 rounds to a level. You must get 5 perfect rounds in each level to achieve the highest rank. You must leave fewer than 5 cards in a round or risk a penalty. You get some rewards within the game play for reaching achievement levels. They are icons that appear on cards to turn over face down cards, get coins, add cards to the deck. Trust me, you need all the help you can get, plus in hard mode, those icons don't stay on the cards very long (this perhaps is the difference from relaxed). Later round will require amulets - they are very pricey compared to the money any round awards you.

I enjoyed the challenge. You get a break every few levels to find morphing objects, "find 12", and "put things back" scenes. They look like child's play at first, but later not so much.

The game is wide screen and the artwork, animations and characters are delightful.

Blades of Time Limited Edition
 –

EH, its ok

Its ok, the animation is good, the graphics are great, the story and challenges are childish, the controls are akward, set up to much for an x-box or playstation. Whole lots of button clicking is what it seems like to me. The girl is super sexy, thats a plus. Not to bad of a game, just not up my alley, doesnt take much brains, the game just leads you threw what it wants you to do, each battle is nearly the same and you have to fight it very specifically, just not that creative or original, i give it a 3/5, i wouldt pay much more than 20 bucks for this game in my opinion.

Lots of Fun

Wasn't sure if I'd like this one as much but I really did enjoy it! Nancy Drew is never a disappointment and I always like the storylines.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut
 –

It is worth it, even with the crashes

I have played this on PC and iMac. It has a great story, darker & more adult than most RPG. The controls for attack took a little getting used to but once understood, worked well. Be sure to save often as the game does crash. Buying the PC version instead won't change this as it was just as buggy on the PC. Despite all the crashes it is still up there as one of my favourites.

Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition
 –

Just as great on the Mac

I loved this game when it first came out & I played in on a PC. Years later and now with an iMac I am enjoying it once again. It runs just as well as it did on the PC. The characters have such endearing and/or quirky personalities, it is hard not to love them all. One of the few games I have played many times over.

Cities in Motion 2
 –

Full Speed Ahead!

What an awesome game - I'm loving the attention to detail and realism, especially with the disappointing lack of features in the new SimCity.

Map sizes are generous and once you work out the interface you'll be challenged to design and implement a sprawling mass transit system. I've only just started to scratch the surface but I'm finding this game a pure joy to get immersed in.

For anyone who's tired of the relentless monotony of first person shooters and ultraviolent war games, this game is an intelligent and creative alternative for anyone with an interest in civic planning and an attention span greater than a canary.

Cities in Motion 2
 –

Gorgeous Game!

Cities in Motion 2 is absoulutly breath taking. You can zoom way out as if your flying over the city or zoom way in as if your standing on the street corner. The detail level is top notch. Then when the city comes to life with traffic, people, rescue vehicles it adds all the more realism to the game. I must say it really feels like a living breathing city.

The game play takes a little getting used to because of the many options in building a transit line, but once you get used to the interface it is easy to get the hang of. There is also a small sense of micro management which is perfectly suited.

My only neagative is the small limited transit vehicle choices and the lack of customizing them with color or schemes. I suppose that opens the door for future expansion packs, which I look forward to. Also, when the cities become really busy, my frame rate starts to lag. I could understand it is a huge game and your computer needs to be strong to handle Cities in Motions 2's full potential.

You may wonder how can building a mass transit be fun? I tell you the truth, Cities in Motions 2 is challenging, fun and visually stunning. For the price tag - I highly recommend it.

GRID™
 –

Ideal game for cooking my macbook pro

This game looks OUTSTANDING for its age, and when set to 1440x900, it causes my macbook to become so hot it literally burns my legs. The framerate, however, stays rock solid... nice. I'm going to ruin my first battery...worth it. Worth it for drift mode alone.

Difficulty is completely scaleable, and there is a good variety of car classes and event types. I have a hard time controlling the very fastest cars on the later events. You will need to memorize the tracks and learn to break late and break hard to have success with these, even on easy difficulty, which is just as it should be.

The only real complaint I have is the excessive number of infographics one has to pass through at the end of a race or event. I don't need to see how much money I got from sponsors EVERY DAMN TIME. There should be a simple way to skip this nonsense.

Cleopatra: A Queen's Destiny
 –

Bland

The problem with a lot of "point-and-click" type games is that the people who build them tend to think there can be only one sequence of actions per scenario to achieve the game's goals. This one, while pretty to look at, is a textbook example. It seems all the energy went into the look of the game and very little thought went into either the story or the number of possible ways a player could complete a certain task.

Because of this, I found myself using the "hints/help" quite a bit - not because I didn't know what to do, but because I couldn't figure out the developers' logic in setting the order of steps to accomplish what needed to be done. I also found it frustrating that, when moving through the area, it would often move "you" to a position well past what would be an effective place to perform the task required.

Graphics FAIL

I have downloaded this demo several times since I discovered this games outlet and it has never worked. The "graphics" only show up as unrendered wire-frame cubes. There is a green check mark and I am on the latest version of OSX. I have other Coladia games and have not had any issues with them so not sure what the deal is with this particular game.
