A Flight Sim for Mac that rocks!

It's hard to find games for the MAC that rival PC offerings. This company shows that MAC development CAN provide FUN and an Equal PlayingField for MAC gamers both for OFFLINE and ONLINE enjoyment in the Flight-Sim genre.

Easy install and quick playability make this game a must have for MAC Aviators!

This is one of the very few games that offers a Massively Multiplayer venue where MAC and PC gamers can play online in a totally equal setting.

Offline play is fun and challenging and great for all ages, so if Online play isn't your cup of tea - you still should check this game out pronto!

Not Just Gameplay

The game is diverting enough, but better yet is the option that allows you to create and edit your own levels, designing quests, placing monsters, treasure, etc. This can become an obsessive undertaking if you're not careful! The level editor online instruction are a bit confusing, but the support from Rake In Grass is very good, and you can figure most things out by examining the sample levels included in the game. Great fun!

Fun game, I had no problems with it freezing. Challenging but not too hard for an adult. My eight-year-old definitely needed some hints and help. Does contain mild profanity and references to alcohol if you are buying it for kids. Worth the money.

Crusader Kings

Not for the joystick fraternity

If you enjoy fast grenzied action and glorious 3D graphics ... stop reading now because this isn't for you.

If you want a game where 10 years of simulated time is a short interlude in gameplay and you want to think about what you're doing and have long term strategies then this could be the game for you.

As with all Paradox titles the pleasure is in the planning with the occasional fight thrown in . I enjoy it immensely (but save regularly because the database gets so big it crawls along after a while) and I've rated the graphics as good because they are well drawn 2D maps with a lot of historical research behind them but X-Box 360 this isn't.

Mind you at the price it's not breaking the bank if you decide you hate it !

Colin McRae Rally

A solid game

This is a solid game. There are a tons of cars and tracks and plenty of events and whatnot to keep you playing for quite some time. I think the physics are actually quite good. I'm not sure what vladimir is talking about when he says everything slides at 2 MPH. If you equip the right kind of tires the terrain is manageable, but if you don't you will definitely notice more slipping and sliding. The damage is also a great feature; it's a hoot to see cars bend and break.

I suppose there might be a learning curve, but I wouldn't know it if there was. I've been playing AmbrosiaSW's Redline for some time now, and compared to that game, the handling is much more forgiving (and realistically so, IMHO). Overall, I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys racing games.

Slingo Quest

Just perfect for winter!

I love this game, so I was really happy to find it in a Mac version, and in the quest format. I beat the game in about a week, got all but 2 stamps (not sure how I get the *5 Joker* one if I didn't get it after 10,000 (so far) matches, but I guess I'll just have to keep on playing!

For anyone not as addicted to this game as I, this will provide hours and hours of fun!

When's the next version coming out?!! More islands! (:

Colin McRae Rally
 –

Its..... ok

Remember 4x4 evolution, an OLDER game..... it had much better and realistic car physics then Colin, and the car models were also better. Colin has beautiful graphcis for scenery but the car handling is very unrealistic. the car will "slide" even if you do 2 MPH. the car handles the same if your on pavement [tarmac], im not so impressed.

Full of bugs

I purchased this game months ago and it is basically unplayable. It has a bug in it that won't allow me to save my game. I contacted the publishers and they have yet to provide me with a patch.

Scrabble Classic

Great Until you play master

Agreeing with one of the other posters, I've found that you are definitely not playing a fari game when you get up to the higher levels.

I started at Intermediate and worked my way up, trying to find the perfect computer opponent. Elite was close, but I was beating him (her?) too often and wanted to really challenge my brain, memory, math skills.

Wow, I didn't realize that being a Master at Scrabble meant that you drew all the best letters every time, using all your tiles on nearly every turn. Meanwhile, I get EEEIIUC to work with.

To test my theory that the Master cheats, I tried a little experiment where I would click the "Best Play" button every time. So I was supposedly getting the same computer brain advantage that he has. But he still beat me by at least 100 points most of the time.

I'm still playing the master, because I like a challenge, and it feels really REALLY good when I beat him once every 10 games.

Plant Tycoon
 –

THIS IS FOR ALL THE GARDNERS!!

I really lovveee this game. I like planting plants, but mostly herb plants. Well, I have found this game so exciting. I work six days a week and I found it to take my mind off of working so much and to enjoy nature. The best part of it all is that you can pollinate your own plants. So it keeps you guessing on what type of plant you can make. This is awesome.

DOOM 3
 –

Never play this in the dark with headphones on...

Else you'll never be able to sleep again. Trust me...

Doom 3 is a sweet game with a great story line, including the back story. I love these games that took the time to go the extra mile and include back story and details like that.

When you are done with this game, you'll never look at a floor or wall the same again...

Shocking standard for a game on the market in 2007

I played better games (graphics, storyline, interface) in the late 80's and 25 years later... something like this is being sold? I can't believe that I just paid $30 for this; wouldn't pay $5 if I had to do it over again. I played for 20 mins and am likely to never again load the game. Disappointed in macgamestore for not screening this out of their inventory.

Betty's Beer Bar

This game was so boring I can only think it is someone's idea of a joke. You don't have to work anything out. I can't believe anyone would call them four different levels. Game play identical in all with a different lame backdrop. I'm so embarrassed I paid for this please don't do the same.

Rome: Curse of the Necklace

Loved the game when I played it. Could not discover how to play again until I read a review. Very sorry that all of the objects are the same the second time. Fix this, and the game would be perfect.
