Description

Kudos is a new life-sim, a game of social relationships and choices. It's a turn based strategy game where you control someone's life. You decide where they work, who they hang out with, and what they do to relax. Do you want to be an alcoholic saxophone playing taxi driver? Or maybe a reclusive but brilliant astrophysicist? Kudos is not about flashy graphics or high polygon counts. Kudos is about exploring areas of gameplay you haven't seen in mainstream games. Above all, Kudos is pretty original.

Kudos lets you learn guitar, drums, saxophone, bass or piano, buy a car, bike or motorbike, write a song, skateboard to work, play chess, golf or football with friends, own a pet, watch multiple TV channels, do crosswords and sudoku, read classic novels, develop a scientific theory, start a drunken brawl, learn kung-fu, fight off muggers, treat your friends to an evening out, change your job, snub people you find boring, write a screenplay, join a gym, go bowling, join the bowling team, go ski-ing, have a snowball fight and lots more... Give it a try! The PC version was on the Top Ten list at Yahoo! for weeks, and now Mac users can have just as much fun!

  1. Escape? Not So Much
by Christine Zook, USA - Sep 5th 2015

The more I played this game, the more depressed I became. It rained, I had no car, I had no friends, I had no money. What is different than actual life? I want escapism, not to feel badly for my poor heroine, who had to jump through hoops for a small smidgeon of satisfaction. Not as much fun as I thought it was going to be. Needs to lighten up. Give them escape hatches of some sort, please!!

  2. Pretty Fun
    by nw_dancer300, USA - Apr 5th 2015

It can be pretty fun once you accumulate enough money to do all the activities you want, but until then you are in a seemingly endless cycle of not having a good enough job to earn any money, then not being able to afford events and classes, losing your friends as a result, and not being able to apply for the next level job. A lot of employers will reject you if you are unhappy or not confident, which happens when you lose friends. It is extremely difficult to break out of this cycle.
