If you thought Walking Dead had plenty of replay value, this game overwhelms you with choices and possibilities!
An incredible spin on Detective-Noire stories, within the "had to be done" world of the comic series it originates from. This game chooses to spell-bind you with story, saving action sequences to critical points of the plot-line. Also takes an - ask the right questions and give the right answers approach more than the - find the items to solve the puzzle in most adventure game including the Walking Dead. The lengthy conversations that are the heart of this game do reveal themselves to be a bit of a labour to play through at times, but the playable protagonist, brilliant characterizations and choices that even affect the plot-line and story as a whole not only guarantee an immersive gaming experience, but repeat play-throughs as well.
In case you forgot how much you love Max Payne, or have never had the pleasure, or simply don't like story-driven action games.
This is the game for you, because it's quite simply the game for everyone. The game settings, circumstances, ensure for a constantly changing experience rather than the same old mechanics re-used through every level.
From high-tension sniper cover, to turkey shoot shotgun rides - all with God's gift of "bullet-time". Everything you've come to expect from a Rockstar Game - FUN!
A completely non-intuitive, over-complicated strategy that's not worth the time committed to the learning curve. Even the combat system is an overwhelming, slow-paced mystery with an overall experience of watching paint dry, then wondering why it turned from red to blue.
I did enjoy this game somewhat, but it only entertained me for a short period (a couple of hours) before I started playing something else, and felt inclined wanted to play this game again.
For $5 - take it, or leave it. I got impatient trying to get my character's up to a level where the game could have gotten engaging.
While enjoyable for all, some player's may get more out of the overt symbolism into yet another failed attempt at creating a New World Order among the games series antagonists.
With all the foreshadowing, metaphorical devices, and depth of a well-made film makes for an experience that is both literature and surreal, adrenalized gameplay.
I loved the game when i saw this on xbox one. Sinc after i left Miscroft Windows 2007 I kinda missed Commandos Behind Enemy Lines games. Even If you don't know Commandos games you will like this kind of game. If you like play with Hard mode.
I bought this because I love the old Bomberman games. This game is a near carbon copy of the gameplay, complete with many of the same powerups. There's a story mode and battle mode, just like the old Bomberman games where you can play alone or with friends. There's virtually nobody playing online so don't buy this game if that's your main intent. It's fine for single player or to play with friends offline. The music is remixes of recognizable classic music. If you like Bomberman, this game is a definite purchase as it's really the same game, with the only difference being improved graphics.
Most of the content in here seems to target "new world" nations, so if you don't intend to get into the colonization game (or anti-colonization, as a a native american nation), you probably won't feel like you're getting your money's worth.
(You can get either this or El Dorado if you want to play random nations & get the diplomatic option of supporting another nation's independence. I'd recommend El Dorado over this, but only if you're a completionist and already have the other, more crucial DLCs already)
I'll preface this by saying I've bought almost every other DLC that came out for this game. Each time I get a new one, I spend a few dozen hours on a new sandbox city (don't care much for custom scenarios), so I quite often feel I get my money's worth.
I wouldn't say Green Cities is a must-buy right now, I'd wait till it goes on sale for a 50% discount maybe. If you don't already have Mass Transit, I'd recommend it over this one. But if you're like me and get a nice tingly feeling from seeing electric cars buzzing around your city, reducing pollution & whatnot, by all means get it now.
Even at the current price point, it doesn't feel like a ripoff, and I quite like supporting Paradox's work on this game and encouraging them to keep putting out DLC for it.
