The Sims Medieval
 –

Fun, but not my kind of Sims

My favorite thing about the Sims empire is the amount of control you have over everything. The Sims Medieval, while a refreshing new take on the Sims, just lacks that aspect. Yes, completing the goals can be fun, but you are not able to take your Sim into whatever direction you want. I would love to see a regular Sims game with a medieval theme (e.g. clothes, architecture, careers, goals, etc.) come out!

Sid Meier's Civilization V: Brave New World

Great EP for Civ V!

Love this EP for Civ V! It makes the game much more fulfilling if you are a person that likes to acheive victory in ways other than global domination because it enhances the diplomacy aspect. I love the World Congress / UN feature! Imo, it makes the game much more realistic.

The Wolf Among Us (Telltale Key)
 –

Exciting, amazing, addictive

This is the perfect game for someone like me. The story is amazingly exciting, and the fact that the choices you make are vital for which outcome the game will have is even more so. I really recommend The wolf among us! (Especially now that all the episodes are out - I would have had a hard time waiting for them.)

Solitaire Mystery: Four Seasons

Les Miserables - Jean Valjean

Bit clunky

I lost interest sadly despite enjoying the story as it seemed clunky. What also bothered me was the fact the scene moved inwards if I moved my mouse.

Gone Home
 –

A exploratory mystery

The basic premise is that you have to work out why no one is home when you arrive. The abandoned house is beautifully developed, with most objects being interactive. You can open all the cupboards and drawers and pick up most things. But you don't collect objects and solve puzzles like traditional adventures, you simply gather intel from each room to piece together what happened. There is lots of reading of notes and letters to do, and listening to the thoughts of the sister which are prompted by touching certain items. At first, it feels rather aimless, and I got to a point of not knowing what to do next and putting it aside for a while. But once you get access to the rest of the house, including the basement and the attic, the story moves into the final phase. It was worth persisting with, as the story was interesting and the ending was unforeseen. Overall I found it enjoyable to play, and loved the visuals a lot. I also loved the fact that there was no combat or time limits to interfere with exploring the house and discovering the secrets, unlike many games.

The Walking Dead: Season 2 (Telltale Key)

1 Moment of Time : Silentville

Bridge Constructor

Gomo

Tried to like it but flawed

There is a three block rotating puzzle which is insanely arbitrary with no rhyme or reason and no hints, which was only solvable by brute repetition which led into a completely dark room which was solved by blind object use and clicking. these two things took at least 2.5 hours to pass, which was an entirely negative experience. otherwise it was alright, but too short. i cannot recommend the game due to the flawed puzzle mentioned, therefore just one star. i would certainly accept other opinions on the game, because there are things to like about the game.

Journey of a Roach
 –

Well made and engaging

My first enounter with a game where you play as a roach was with bad mojo. The story with this game is unique, told well, cute, and well thought through. The gameplay and mechanics are well done, and enjoyable the whole game through.

I only had gripes with one puzzle in the game, which was too sensitive and while intuitive, did not appear to be solvable, which was the one where you carry the electric charge over to a machine to power it. i would say four stars is about as good as this game gets because while it is not bland, neither is it a huge moment in gaming.

lots of fun though, probably worth one replay.

Very disappointing

The game is a big disappointment. Very difficult to use and not at all friendly. I give up trying to understand how to play. I wish I could have my money back

Nightmare Adventures: The Witch's Prison
 –

Great game

That is a fantastic game. Not too hard, not too easy and most of all no hidden object games in it. You go through many different locations and the graphic is great. I really enjoyed playing it. Happy to find it here

Lifeless Planet Premier Edition
 –

Beautiful, challenging and compelling game

This is one of the best games I have played. Great art, compelling story and challenging gameplay. Most importantly, it retains one's interest without the use of violence (short of your astronaut jumping off a cliff) as with so many games today. The only negative comment I have is the saved games are by default hidden by the OS. They are also placed in the cache folder which TimeMachine does not backup. Hopefully that will be corrected at some point.
