This Is The Police

Great Concept, Poor Quality

The game itself seems great. I absolutely LOVE the concept, and the story (as far as I can tell) seems pretty cool. Unfortunately, the video sequences are extremely buggy and will not allow me to skip them, making this game a nightmare to actually play.

Definitely worth the buy if they fix the bugs or if you get it for pocket change. Otherwise, wait.

Incredibly fun, BUT...

I love this game. It's like a mix of Civilization and Democracy. But I can't ever advance in the game because it keeps crashing! My computer meets all the game's requirements but certain dialogue boxes just cause the game to freeze and stop responding :(
Buyer beware.

Griddlers Ted and P.E.T.

Another number puzzle game

If you like this genre, it's another great addition to the collection available. Not too easy to make it boring but not too hard to make it challenging. Great brain exercise.

7 Grand Steps: What Ancients Begat

Demo First

I love this game even though I don't ever seem to accomplish much and am not 100% sure I understand what I'm doing. But it's not the right game for everyone. Make sure to demo before you buy!

LOVE!

Merchants of Kaiden was way too involved for me. This game is great, though! Like a mature version of Tradewinds. Great trading sim!

Nicolas Eymerich The Inquisitor - Book I: The Plague

Odd Game

I enjoy this game but it is sometimes difficult to know exactly what to do next. It is definitely odd and unique. Lots of dialogue. The voice actor for the main character freaks me out a little bit. It is what it says it is but not much more than that.

Kitty Powers' Matchmaker
 –

Fun but repetitive

This is a fun game to play when you are bored but you cannot play it for a good few hours straight as it becomes too repetitive. I do enjoy it and its snarkiness, though.
Side Note: Gay marriage is completely legal in this game. Yay, progress!

Nancy Drew: Sea of Darkness
 –

One of the best ND in recent times

I was honestly a little skeptical after Silent Spy, but this ND game goes back to everything that makes the series great: characters you can't trust, Ned moments, great puzzles, and doing "jobs" to make money in order to advance.
Some bonuses are that you can learn a little of the local language.
Note: You cannot accrue more than 1000 coins at a time. Spend some before trying to make more or you will waste your time.

Supreme League of Patriots - Issue 1: A Patriot is Born
 –

What did I just play?

This game is full of snarky observations on society which would be great if there was more to the game than that, however it is mostly dialogue. You spend a lot of time working to advance a tiny bit and, when you get there, the game ends and wants you to buy the next "episode."
Fun for a rainy day when there is nothing else to do, but if I had a chance to do it all over again, I probably wouldn't buy this.

Family Farm
 –

Better "Goodfolks"

This game is very similar to Goodfolks but improves on it. You play different scenarios which unlock more features along the way, so it doesn't get too repetitive.
I might describe this as "farming simulator meets the Dash series of games."
My only real complaint is that the "lunch" aspect of the game doesn't affect workers enough for the time it takes and that you cannot take out loans for a while.

Merchants of Kaidan
 –

A More Complex Tradewinds

This game reminds me of the Tradewinds series I loved as a child, but WAY more complex. I still don't fully understand what I'm doing. This is not a mindless game. It takes a lot of focus and energy.
Personally, for something like this, I prefer Sunless Seas (available on Steam).

Farm Fables Strategy Enhanced

Another good addition to the series

At this point you know what you're getting when you order a Farm Fables game. This one is another excellent addition which manages to balance fun and difficulty.

Like it fine but can't save

I was excited to continue this game after being unable to play it for a while only to find that it did not save my game!

Babel Rising
 –

Kill the Babylonians!

This game is quite fun! I enjoy being a vengeful god who wants to destroy his people trying to build the tower. The only drawback is that this game is next to impossible with the trackpad so invest in a mouse (or in my case don't lose your mouse).

Journey of a Roach
 –

Surprisingly Fun

I'm not sure if I got this game for free or how it ended up on my games list, but I'm glad it did! This is a great puzzle game that has made me, for the first time in my life, care about a roach. Definitely recommend!

Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth
 –

Not as Exciting as You'd Think

If you're really into sci-fi, this game might be good for you. However, even as a fan of the Civ series, I was pretty disappointed. I think they focused too much on making "space" look cool and not enough on actual gameplay.

Goodfolks
 –

Really Fun

This game reminds me a bit of a farming version of Artist Colony (which I LOVED). It's pretty fun! I wish that you had more character development but it's still quite fun to run your own farm. Easy, but not too easy. Although, if you are goal-oriented, you should know that this game is lacking in that aspect.

Cities in Motion 2 Collection
 –

Not User Friendly

I was so excited for this game! But it's so difficult to actually play it. Only buy if you're willing to put in a lot of time to figure it out and aren't expecting to actually play right away.

Glowfish
 –

Surprisingly Good

This game doesn't have much depth but it's pretty dang fun! I like to play it in between homework or when I only have a small amount of time to play game (during travel).
I got it free, so I'm not sure how much it costs. Personally, I would pay $1.99 for it but not much more. Fun, though.

Magic Life
 –

Great except for CRASHING!

Until this game is fixed, I would recommend not buying it. It crashes once you reach a certain point and will not allow you to progress any further in the game. I have requested a refund for my purchase.
