Immersive
This adventure is beautifully drawn and cleverly, meticulously executed. Entirely task driven by items you find along the way, with heartwarming characters that will make you smile, and entertaining spoken dialogue and subtle visuals that will make you laugh.
Nothing about it is superficial - you will feel accomplished for executing a task or a puzzle, you will get involved in the story, it's impossible not to care about Wilbur
Please, experience this gem of a game for yourself, it is pure joy.
As usual with Coladia, the graphics are very nicely done. The puzzles are clever but not very challenging, the game is a little short, and there is a groaner of a plot twist about halfway through; the last couple of puzzles (involving rotating stone discs) are not interesting at all. Not one of Coladia's best games; not really recommended.

In Deponia, the world has degenerated into a vast garbage dump, in which the crotchety Rufus ekes out his sorry existence. He is part of the lowest social class, doomed to live his life in literal mountains of trash. He hopes for an opportunity to get into the world of the rich, who live in a floating city high above the clouds. Fate seems to smile on the snotty good-for-nothing when one day the attractive lady named Goal from the higher sector plummets into one of the trash heaps. Rufus decides to help the young woman out by taking her back to her husband. When he notices that Goal's husband is a dead ringer for himself, he hatches a diabolical scheme to gain access to the upper world. However, things don't work out quite as planned, since he has feelings for the beauty which limits his usual unscrupulousness.

Played twice and it froze the same place both times
I enjoyed this game immensely and probably would have given it five stars if it had permitted me to finish. Once you complete the clock, the game is supposed to continue to the finale. Both times I played, the game froze right after the clock was complete. On OS X 10.7.4, if it matters.
Get The Sims 3 for the sale price of $24.95! Normally goes for $39.95.

Disgustingly awful
Everything on this game sucks, from the gameplay to the nonexistent story. If you really enjoy FPSs buy CoD, it might be short and all, but it's good, Quake 4 on the other hand is a piece of sh*t.
I may be asking for a refund. Beyond slow even though I fit the specs. Searching the internet, this is a common problem, but no response has been given on the forums on Steam or the publisher's site. Be warned.
I'm using OS 10.7.4 and I couldn't get game controls to work for this game. Neither keyboard or mouse controls worked.
It's also very hard to know how to start the game. I tried clicking on various parts of the Intro Screen and only managed to quite the game. Regardless of trying to fix the game controls, the lack of an intuitive place to even start the game was an odd experience.
A decent run-and-shoot (LOTS of running around!) with very satisfactory graphics: battlefields, towns, forests and canyons, even a dirigible ride! Complicated battle scenes tend to lag (even on my top-of-the-line 27-inch Mac), the action becoming slow and jerky; reloading the episode may help. (Poor performance is a frequent complaint from Mac users, so make sure you have the minimum requirements, or better.)
The script is a science-fiction story involving time travel and competing agencies; your avatar (a soldier from the Battle of the Little Big Horn) will be told to switch sides several times. Do you think the Union cause was just and noble, a crusade to preserve the Union and free the slaves?-Youll have plenty of chances to shoot some traitorous Confederate rebels. Hate the arrogant damnyankees, and their murdering bluebelly soldiers? -You can shoot lots of THEM, too! Not to mention Prussians, Russians, and well-armored Roman soldiers. (Reversing your loyalties may leave you feeling a bit sleazy at times, but youll get used to it.)
Early episodes may seem a bit too easy, since the AI soldiers are slow and stupid (they tend to stare at you for a second or two before trying to shoot you), but the pace picks up later on, and your avatar will die many times. The script includes some puzzle elements (how do you get from A to B to C, if theres a high cliff blocking your path at B?) Walkthroughs are available on the Internet (the PC cheats dont seem to work in the Mac version). YouTube has some videos of segments of various episodes, which will give you an idea of what the game looks like, and tips on how to fight effectively.
One minor annoyance: no player-initiated saves. If youre interrupted in mid-episode, youll have to start at the beginning, next time. But auto-saves are fairly frequent.
The writing is a bit uneven-at one point, a Confederate officer whom youre helping to escape seems to vanish into thin air, leaving you wondering Wha-?-and the overall story ends abruptly, with a major threat looming over humanity (which implies that a sequel is in the works). However, if you enjoy combat, puzzles, and science-fiction, youll likely enjoy Darkest of Days.
