I enjoyed playing this game — it had all the challenges I expected without being too hard. The graphics were a ltitle strange and the dialogue skippable, but since I was there for the match 3 puzzles, it wasn't a big deal. Worth the price!
Bit buggy, fun until play stops abruptly at level 250
This game had all the standard match 3 play I expected, and an interesting story element that I hadn't. I was enjoying it until the play button disappeared at level 250, with more stars needed to complete the quest. Before that, I experienced minor bugs where some levels would hang mid-shuffle, with no way to fix except starting the level over again. Overall it was a nice game, but it is frustrating to not be able to complete the story.
Great graphics, okay story, occasionally terrible puzzles
I feel like the lone voice of dissent here, and maybe I just don't play enough hidden object games to have all the puzzle types memorized. But puzzles are just tossed up on the screen with no clear objective and no description. Clicking hint makes a move on the puzzle for you, instead of saying "these bottles need to be organized by the patterns on the label" and by the way, I looked at the solution online and I STILL didn't get that one? Anyway. The setting and graphics were interesting, the voice acting was terrible, and some of the puzzles made no sense to me and I ended up skipping a lot of them. I also expected a few more actual hidden object puzzles, and fewer "arrange these objects in as many ways as you can think of until we tell you you've solved it." Did not finish.
Overall I liked the setting, though the story started very abruptly. The music was lovely, and some of the puzzle ideas were really fun. Some, like the end puzzle, were just irritating, and there was a black screen that stopped progress in the endgame which is apparently a common problem. (Quitting and restarting fixed it for me.) I would certainly consider buying other games in this series.
Far more engaging/challenging than the art style would suggest
Bought this on a whim, because I'm getting tired of match 3 titles who want you to buy boosts and bonuses every five minutes. (I'd rather pay up front, thanks.) The story and art style were a little "cute" for me, but I was happily surprised by how engaging the puzzles themselves were. It was a fun twist on the match 3 style, and I really enjoyed it! I also liked the fact that I could turn the timed play on and off in the options — sometimes I'm in the mood for a challenge, sometimes I just want to relax. I did get some pop-up messages saying the game was "not optimized for my Mac" but aside from a few quirks that required a restart, it worked just fine. This is a game I expect to play more than once!
I play some of the easier levels with my preschooler, and he loves it! Great soothing game for when your brain is pining for things to be neat and orderly.
