Some content from the previous game has not been implemented yet, like playable merchant republics or nomads. Maybe all this will be implemented later as it happened with CK2 but for the moment it still stands as an improved version of its predecessor. It has also been made more streamlined and more accesible to new players so it'll be easier to get into CK3 than it was getting into CK2.
