Hidden Mysteries: Royal Family Secrets

While this game is certainly visually beautiful, it is not very cohesive mechanically. There's too much travel back and forth with no jumping from a map like other games. The hint set up is annoying. I'm 3/4 thru and every area opened tells me I have nothing left to do there right now, yet it doesn't help with how to find the items to get thru the last locked areas. Every avenue is blocked and endless repetitive searching turns up nothing.
