Awesome graphics, good gameplay

The first few hours of gameplay are very addicting, but you will run out of space very quickly and that restricts the game a lot.

Portal of Evil - Stolen Runes Collector's Edition

Lots of 3d rendered scenes

I'm new to this genre but I didn't expect that much animated scenes. The story is interesting and well laid out. I had 1 or 2 bugs with the voices not playing back in the cut scenes.

Mafia II: Director's Cut

Amazing game!

There's definitely some similarities with the GTA style, but in a Mafia fashion. I laughed really good at some of the more or less obvious jokes in the dialogs or surroundings. A fair length to play through and drool at the georgeous cars and landscapes. I really wished the collectibles would be hidden around town to find instead of in the story, because this means you have to replay that scenes... Absolutely well-deserved the 5 star rating.

realMyst: Masterpiece Edition

An adventure through dimensions

The puzzles have the right amount of difficulty and the story brings everthing to life. My recommendation is to read the books in the library, so you get deeper into the story. The puzzles are very diverse and offer a lot of mechanical stuff to activate and play with. I fell through the world once but other than that the gameplay is pretty robust. I would love to customize the controls, so you could look around without holding down the right mouse button. If you're stuck somewhere the game offers a lot of hints and will point you at the right direction using a funny written walkthrough-like help.

Game OK, UI fiddly

Short game, with puzzles. Some were not explained very well IMHO. The story was ok, although I don't know the prequels.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Fantastic game, but difficult

The controls are fine because you'll learn them one by one. After not playing for some time, I needed to get back into it for a few minutes. I liked the beginning very much, but then at some point it seemed a bit stretched. I stopped playing because I could not get passed a room because there were to many enemies. But I'm only a casual player. Graphics are absolutely amazing, the story and sound are okay. But I liked the (german) voice actors very much.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown - Elite Edition

Fascinating Game

The game was really really fun to play trough. Although I encountered some gameplay and sound bugs along the way, the overall experience was great. I really enjoyed the story and the playtime is of a good length. A bit grindy if you want to cover everything, and full graphics even on my „old" mid 2010 iMac.

This is just an amzing game. Nice graphics, puzzles, machines, and action. I recommend playing it with a gamepad (I used the PS3 Controller).

The Book of Desires
 –

Short and easy

I enjoyed the short adventure of the girl. The artwork is well done and a lot of fantasy is put into the story. Overall the game was straight forward and the puzzles are easy enough. Loading every screen takes a lot of time, when you want to go from point A to point B, no shortcuts, but otherwise fair price.
