Graphics are a bit lacking.
game play is fun for the average game.
You meet your goals very quickly in standard mode and its near impossible in hard mode. Also, you cant keep growing like in games past. You max out your city to the boundries and thats it. Maybe add subway or adjust roads and such but you dont get to build large buildings, etc.
Worth buying if its under 15 bucks. Great game for 14 years or younger.
Although my all-time favorite SimCity game is SimCity 3000, this is definitely second place. Improved graphics, and plenty of micromanagement of taxes (among many), this game definitely is an exemplar in its genre. I have to say that it seems more difficult to have a cash-positive city in this game than previous titles, but perhaps it's just me.
I know the PC-Version and now I play the game on my MacBook. It works (maybe it works better with "medium quality"-graphics and effects).
Probably the best Sim City - ever. It's the extended version (so you can drive through your city).
I've had hours of fun with this city simulator, and have yet to get bored. Definitely keeps you coming back for more. I've experienced a couple of crashes here and there, but I haven't been able to pin down the reason, but nothing that really hurt the gaming experience. Totally worth the price (especially if you get it on sale)!
Having played every Sim City since the early days, I have great expectations for new versions. This was a welcome version but it wasn't all that I wanted. Certain elements of the game didn't have the "classic" feel I enjoyed with older versions although the graphics are superb.
