DeepTrouble 2

DeepTrouble 2 is the exciting sequel to the original action game DeepTrouble. This time the underwater aliens are fiercer than ever. As the most experienced pilot of the Excalibur '7' series fighter and reconnaissance craft you are tasked with uncovering the dark secret of the underwater aliens and their colony-world. The many different types of enemies will put your combat and strategic skills to the test as you navigate deeper through dangerous underwater passages and enemy territory.

DeepTrouble 2 features 11 levels with gorgeous and detailed graphics made possible by the use of OpenGL's vertex and fragment shaders. Bump mapping, dynamic shadows and other advanced techniques add to the highly detailed graphics. OpenAL is being used to bring out great sound effects that will immerse you into the game together with the suspenseful music.

It is a fun game. I really enjoy the game. Only complaint is that I can't use my Logictech joystick. The game work great on my iMac.

  2. One of the best games!

    by Suzanne C Donovan, USA - Feb 25th 2010

Love this game. I bought it years ago when it was first released. I actually got a new Mac to be able to play it, I loved it that much. I have only excellent things to say about prodyct support. Anytime I have had an issye the developer has gotten right back. I would encourge the first reviewer to try again. His first concern may not have reached the support people. It is worth pursuing!

  3. Excellent game but hang on recent Macbook Pro

by Michel Rousseau, France - Apr 14th 2009

I really loved this one. At least the demo.

But on 2 recents Macbook Pro (mid 2007 with nVidia 8600 and early 2009 with nVidia 9200/9600) the game hang past some point. Always the same point so it's easy to reproduce... and impossible to go further in the game.

I wrote to the author, and send him as he asked me, a screen capture of the area where the hang occurs. It was 6 month ago and no more news...

So it's impossible to buy as it. Too bad...
