  1. Fun
    by Luca M.4, Italy - Sep 21st 2018

Even if it's not pure fun like Tales from the Borderlands, Guardians of the Galaxy manage to nail the characters, offering funny situations and a compelling plot. One of the best TT game in a while.

  2. Enjoyable Time Killer
    by madpotash66, USA - Sep 6th 2018

Telltale's formula after the Walking Dead has largely been unchanged. This particular series however does seem more "branchy" than the walking dead. Deciding if the additional "branchiness" comes for better or for worse will be up to the individual. Don't expect too many clever twists on the mechanics. The story itself is competently put together and the characters are recognizable from their filmic counterparts. However, this game does take place in it's own universe apart from the MCU, backstories and some characters do diverge differently from the films.

  3. A good game from Telltale
by Zso, United Kingdom - Aug 30th 2018

It's a pretty solid Telltale game. If you like this style and fan of Guardians of the Galaxy, you won't be disappointed in this one.

    Pros:
    - There are real choices, which can make you replay the game
    - Good soundtrack

    Cons:
    - Telltale games getting shorter and shorter every time
    - Well known bugs which haven't been dealt with

  4. The Guardians get the Telltale treatment
    by Batavorn, Netherlands - Aug 23rd 2018

This Telltale take on the popular Marvel franchise doesn't break the mold. Compared to other Telltale titles it's probably closest to the Batman games, with an added sense of humour. One important thing to note is this adventure isn't linked to the movie franchise but instead based on the original comics. Among other things this means some characters have a different look (Drax is green for example) and all are voiced by veteran voice actors who don't always sound like the Hollywood A-listers from the movie.

This voice acting is one of the highlights of the game. Surprisingly the animation doesn't resemble comics but is actually quite realistic. In this respect it's probably the best looking Telltale game to date. Most of the time you control the Guardians' leader Peter Quill (alias Star-Lord), but during some sequences you take control of the other team members. The story is a fairly basic tale of fighting a villain in order to secure a McGuffin, but flashbacks provide some interesting background info for the team members which adds some depth.

In short fans of either Telltale games or the Guardians of the Galaxy won't be disappointed.

  5. Typical Telltale game, story focuses and immersive.
    by Brendan M.9, USA - Aug 11th 2018

Another good Telltale games. It is a good story, like almost all Telltale games, with familiar characters from the movies/comics. If you enjoy immersive story where your choices impact your experience, you will like this one.

  7. Mediocre telltale game.
    by jragonjim, USA - Aug 10th 2018

Not on par with most telltale games. IMO, probably the worst one out of all telltale games. The series pick up later on, but the beginning was a slug to get through.

by Martin Jovanchevski, Macedonia - Aug 8th 2018

Had a blast of the time and enjoyed every single moment with the game. I'm not a fan of the comics and movies but I'm a big fan of telltale and oh, boy, do they deliver!

  10. Nice
    by ChaosKnight, USA - Jun 27th 2018

Another Telltale game with a great story. You either like their games or you don't. You don't need prior knowledge of the comics or movies as this is a stand alone story. Very entertaining, though it drags a bit in Episode 4.

  11. Good one
    by Noodles214, Germany - Jun 18th 2018

I'm not the greatest fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, but I liked them. And so did I with the Telltale game. Although of course it's more an interactive movie than a game. The story is thrilling and also takes its time for calm moments and character development. And for me it felt like it has a more serious tone than the movies. But of course there are still funny moments. And like the movies the game has a great classic rock soundtrack. Most of the action scenes are really good choreographed with the music. But the game has one lowlight, which is episode 4. This one has only a few good scenes and a lot of scenes, which feel like fillers to get some more playtime. But all in all I had fun. Let's see, if there will be a season two.

  12. One of the Better Entries in the Telltale Franchise
    by Jamedog, Australia - Jun 1st 2018

After some lackluster entries (won't name them), Guardians of the Galaxy shows why Telltale can still produce some brilliant story drive point and click games. Refreshing.

  13. That's the spirit of the movie.
    by P@l@din, Germany - Jan 1st 2018

I will keep it short: If you liked the movie, this one is for you. It's like all TTGs more an interactive novel than a real game, but it entertains.

  14. Too many cut scenes
    by rcoston, USA - Dec 28th 2017

For most of the first episode it's just a video playing where you get to make comments but not actually do anything. Very boring.

  15. Currently broken
    by wjousts, USA - Sep 6th 2017

A bug at the start of chapter 2 causes a crash to desktop. Don't waste your money until it's fixed.
