Description

Plantoids is the first major DLC package for Stellaris, Paradox Development Studio’s science fiction grand strategy game. It is the first Species Pack, introducing a new phenotype for players with original art and animations. As the title implies, Plantoids will give Stellaris fans access to a plant-like species that has gained sentience and begun to spread its tendrils across the galaxy, planting the roots of new civilizations on new planets.

    Plants in space*****

    My original review was only 3 stars because of how little content the species pack added to the game. Thankfully the developers have added content to this dlc to the point I moved my review to a 5 star.

    Portrait pack nothing more nothing less*****

    You get pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. Portraits are nice but don't expect anything more then that.

    Very minor stuff, missing gameplay addition*****

    A few graphics improvements IF you want to play an interstellar plant. Else it is pretty much useless. :-(

    It is really missing some plant-specific gameplay, like they did for the lithoids.
