A Tale of Gods and Humans
Legend has it that many years ago, people lived in peace on the great continent of Rodinia; a peace that would not last. Soon, the Great War broke out, dragging every kingdom and village down an endless spiral of ruin and desolation. The people prayed for salvation from the Nine Gods, whose unreachable homeland lay beyond the Great Sea, on the forbidden continent of Xulima.

Eventually, the conflict came to a point where it threatened to ruin all creation. Thus Golot, Lord of Works and Dreams, appeared to Gaulen, a seasoned Explorer who lived on a remote island off the coast of Rodinia. The Lord of Works appointed Gaulen to be his Herald on Earth and to set sail for Xulima, so that balance could be restored to the world. Thus begins the adventure of our young protagonist.

  1. Crashing and freezing
    by geeveedee, Netherlands - Mar 3rd 2018

The game keeps on freezing or crashing. Mbpro mid '15 - Sierra
I use only one save slot and one quicksave slot and it keeps on
crashing after a battle before I can save.
This game needs to have a warning, or dont sell it..

Games is very similar to games such as Baldur's gate and the like. I is full of lore and can get a little difficult at times.

At time the map exploration feels like a grind

  3. A Charming, Old School Dungeon Crawler
by Daniel Steven Oles, USA - Feb 20th 2017

I love games like this! Highly customizable characters with varying abiltiies, rewarding battle with feedback, plenty of exploration and loot: this kind of RPG is what I live for. The progression is slow but that's kind of appreciated. You feel like with each battle you're improving, you're gathering materials and gear. It's a fairly simple system to get into but has a lot of depth and with more classes than you can play at a time it has replay value.
It is NOT easy. Enemy's don't scale with you but are instead fixed difficulties so you need to grind a bit or take your chances. There's a food mechanic which is required to rest and heal outdoors, you need to buy torches. You spend a fair amount of time running back and forth between dungeons and town, but that's really how it should be. There ARE shortcuts available for a price. You can hold shift and run. This game is practically designed by lovers of the genre and feels like a love letter to classics old and new.
One hint: wait for at least two minutes for the game to start at first. I thought the game was frozen but the first load takes a LONG time to run. Still, now it works fine (there was one crash but autosaves made this no problem) framerate is fine, music and sound is great.
If you like turn based combat, exploration, gathering resources from the environment, and a nice old school feel to things this comes highly reccomended!

  4. Great game
by Alessio Ligabue, USA - Feb 12th 2016

I really love this game. It is an old stile RPG and it requires a good amount of tactic and thinking. You are fairly free in the exploration of the world unless a stronger enemy is on your way. Spend wise the gold you find and be patietent with the equipment. You need to chose carefully the members of your group and to develop them properly if you want to survive. I fully racommend this game. Enjoy!

  5. Slow, tedious, boring
    by DaveF, USA - Feb 10th 2016

I player games on my Commodore 64 that were faster. If I play any more of this game I'll die of boredom. It spends an inordinate amount of time loading screens and combat sessions. Combat is a joke. It may be beautiful graphically, but the game play is awful. Absolutely no replay value. I've already unistalled it. And it's not my Mac - I have a maxed out Retina 5K - 1TB SSD, 32GB RAM, 4GB video.

  6. Fast, tense, turn-based RPG
    by green_knight, United Kingdom - Jan 28th 2016

I've had this for about ten days and clocked 37h gameplay so far. To play, you'll need a good dose of puzzle skills (or an internet-enabled phone) and a fair amount of tactics. Even though this is strictly turn-based (you will never answer the phone and find your characters dead) neither the map exploration nor the combat feel sluggish or boring - both are full of surprises and were constructed with a love of detail. The enemies, particularly, are definitely not from the standard monster manual.
