Between our world and the world beyond lie the Titan Souls, the spiritual source and sum of all living things. Now scattered amongst the ruins and guarded by the idle titans charged with their care, a solitary hero armed with but a single arrow is once again assembling shards of the Titan Soul in a quest for truth and power.

Colossal Titans: Explore the ancient ruins of your forefathers and uncover extraordinary and unique titans, each with their own savage attacks and hidden weakness. Find and exploit their faults to slay the beasts and consume the primeval power that lies within them.

Simple Combat: Loose your solitary arrow at the monstrous titans and summon it back to your hand to unleash another forceful strike. Dash and run from the titan’s attacks but do not fear death, as it is both inevitable and plentiful in Titan Souls.

Arcane Secrets: This realm is not without its secrets. Long forgotten titans are hidden in the shadows and prowling through the furthest corners of the land – find them, destroy them, and take their souls for your own to discover the true extent of the power that resides here.

  1. Good Boss Rush

Good boss rush with great music and aesthetics marred by having no keyboard and mouse support for some reason.

  3. Overlooked gem for a really good price
by Martin Bogatzki, Germany - Jul 25th 2016

This game is criminally overlooked and the price is really good for the countless hours you get out of this. Replayability lies in the speedrun mode, without you still have 5-10 hours of playtime considering your skill.

  4. Critical Path, the Game
    by Yawaru, USA - Apr 10th 2016

This game was originally developed in a few days during the Ludem Dare 28 challenge. As such, there isn't a lot to this game, but what is there is finely honed and very fun to play. The game itself can be completed in an hour or two if you know what to do and are fairly skilled, but I would recommend going in blind to get the most out of this game. Part of the challenge is figuring out what to do and how to do it, you can look up a guide to help, but it mitigates some of the fun and challenge.

Titan Souls was developed with a theme of "You Only Get One." As such, you have one attack and die in one hit, but so do the Titans. The game closely resembles Shadow of the Colossus or Legend of Zelda with all the filler cut out. There are no fodder mobs, no levels or power-ups, just boss fights.

The presentation is one of the best parts of the game, sparse but beautiful music, a sprawling environment, and minimal story delivered mostly in environmental clues and allusion. It should be noted that this game is best played with a controller, requiring precision movement and twitch reflexes. It can be played with a keyboard, but, for an example, with a controller you can shoot the arrow in a 360 degree circle, while a keyboard gives you 8 directions.

Overall a great game, very polished, short and inexpensive.

  5. Meh

If you plan to buy this game, you should know that there is no story or anything like that. You get into a room and start killing bosses. Thats all.
