The game's final look and feel was also strongly influenced by the universes of games such as Demon's Souls or Dark Seed. This unique mixture gave life to a bleak and depressing world.

A nameless hero finds himself in a place between fantasy and nightmare. He doesn't remember his name nor where he comes from. Wandering through strange lands, he struggles to discover the truth about the world around him, as well as about himself.

The story begins as the protagonist wakes up locked in a metal cage hanging below a large flying machine. It becomes clear he is its passenger against his will and the machine's destination is unknown. The only vague memory he can summon in his mind is that of a sculpture atop a hill, depicting human hands reaching towards the sky.

Those are however the least of his problems as the airship lowers its flight towards a huge gloomy castle which soon becomes his prison. Thus begins the surreal story bordering somewhere between dream and reality...

  1. Irritating
    by Roa, - Apr 22nd 2018

It's one thing to work through puzzles but when I've gotten bored with trying to find the one critical step I want a hint or skip button. If you're more hardcore than I am fine but I didn't make it 30 minutes. Most of that time was spent looking for that ONE step. Didn't find it, deleted the game and moved on.

  2. Beautiful point and click adventure
    by Ishee, Germany - Oct 23rd 2016

Tormentum - Dark Sorrow is a dark point and click game with a very interesting story. What attracted me first to the game was the stunning, dark art style inspired by works of the painters H.R. Giger and Zdzislaw Beksinski. The puzzles aren't too difficult, are straightforward and make sense. Playtime is kinda short, but it is a very satisfying experience

  5. High-end point and click adventure.
by Allie Collins, USA - Mar 13th 2016

I'm not always into point and click, but this is one of the better ones out there. The art work is really the big seller here, as the whole game looks amazing. The gameplay is decent and the story is a solid selling point. Check it out.

  6. Morbides Meisterwerk, nicht für Kinder.
    by Schulle, Germany - Oct 21st 2015
