  1. Just like the first title
    by wobbleboxx, Germany - Mar 19th 2017

The story is interesting and new stuff is discovered throughout the journey. Unique setting and the story continues.

  2. Great, but not as good as the original.
    by JT&LB, USA - Nov 7th 2015

Sorry to hear folks are having difficulty playing this game. We played it in 2004 on a PC and liked it very much. It's not as good as the original game, as it seemed darker and more serious, but it is still a great game. My Mac OS doesn't meet the minimum requirements needed, so I can't replay it. I still have the PC discs, but no longer use a PC. Hope they get the bugs out, because it really is fun to play.

  3. A very interesting story
    by Amble, USA - Sep 27th 2015

I enjoyed the game. It played well and the character interactions kept the story moving along. The puzzles were mostly fun and some were definitely more challenging than others. A few of the puzzles or stages didn't seem to make much sense, and maybe because I didn't always play through in the expected way, a few of them were frustrating. I'd just have to guess or go trial and error to solve them. However, noticing small things probably would have helped me a bit more if I would have tried to pay closer attention. That happened a few times in Syberia, but more often in Syberia II. The game indicated it was saving at certain points, but when I exited and then returned, I'd have to go back a bit and redo things, not always, but it should have picked up right where I left off or allowed me to save manually to do that. I did like that the characters were individual enough to have their own stories. To make it better, it would have been a great option to have multiple games going at once instead of only one. MacGameStore says that my Mac does not meet the minimum requirements but it installed and played with zero problems. It said it needed OSX 10.8 and I run 10.7.5 on an old Mac Pro 1,1. In spite of some of the small issues, it is a good game if you are patient and like to be challenged. If you want easy puzzles and blast through 1-2-3 for a quick finish then this might not work well for you. I think it is definitely worth the price and recommend it.

  4. Frustrating
    by NorthernSpruce, Canada - Jan 2nd 2015

Unlike helivoy, I haven't any issues saving games or using inventory, and there are quite a few save points so if you have to leave the game you just have to make sure to walk through one of the set points to save your progress. This has worked okay for me. The puzzles, however, are absurd. Several make no sense and just require a long and more or less arbitrary series of actions. (So far, for those who know the game, the lemming puzzle and the clock puzzle are especially infuriating). Any game may have one or two dud puzzles, but this is just one after another. I liked the first Syberia but this is pretty bad. And I know it is just a game, but a little bit of effort could have avoided cartoonish characters like the caricatural two-dimensional monks and the offensive portrayal of an intellectually handicapped character.

  5. Love it!
by Jessica Elsasser, USA - Dec 28th 2014

I was very hesitant to purchase this because of the previous review about glitches but I loved the first game so much that I bought this game anyway. I was very please to find that I didn't have any problems. The game is beautifully done and works perfectly on my macbook pro. I absolutely love it and can't wait for the next in the series!!!

  6. Major bugs
    by helivoy, USA - Dec 20th 2014

I bought this because I had loved the originals, way back when.

The game as redone by Anuman not only made the original crisp visuals muddy, but it also saves at set spots, rather than when the player wants. Worse yet, if for ANY reason you leave the game interphase, when you come back the following have happened: 1) the last few actions have been undone, EVEN if the game indicated a save and 2) the tools that would allow you to repeat the actions have vanished from both your inventory and their original locations. This means you have to start the game from the beginning.

In other words, the game is unplayable unless it's played essentially in one go, which is impossible because of its length. I can only hope that Anuman issues a patch or updated version.
