The Wasteland's hellish landscape is waiting for you to make your mark... or die trying. With over 80 hours of gameplay, you will deck out your Desert Ranger squad with the most devastating weaponry this side of the fallout zone, test the limits of your strategy skills, and bring justice to the wasteland.

• Expanded Voice Over: Over 8,000 lines of new voice-over dialog have been added for the game's characters and companions, bringing the Wasteland to life like never before.
  • One Size Does Not Fit All: Don't feel like finding the key for a door? Why not try a Rocket Launcher! Basically the same thing... right?

  2. Old-School fun with some drawbacks
    by Lexkun, Germany - Feb 17th 2018

It can get a bit clunky but all in all it's a fun old-school RPG.

by Raw Sauce, Australia - Nov 29th 2017

Great fun for the first 20hrs or so, after that, it can get a bit repetitive.

  4. If not the RNG ....
by pkughost, United Kingdom - Nov 25th 2017

A huge number of skill checks with RNG makes it a reload-fest ... Otherwise a great game, albeit tedious at places.

  5. The real Fallout 3 for me
    by Roarke, Spain - Oct 13th 2017

And that's it. This game is for you if you enjoy turn based combat, read wall of text and spend hours building your team.

  6. I Guess I'm Not A Fan Of Turn-Based Combat
by Doc Savage, USA - Jul 10th 2017

I had really high hopes for this game when I bought it, especially with all of the glowingly positive reviews.

Visually this game is quite stunning and the motion is amazingly smooth. While the story is intriguing and the characters interesting, the combat system is just really annoying to me and hard to get past.

I'm glad others are enjoying it, but I guess I'm not a fan of turn-based combat. I may shelve it for a while and try it again later...

Incidentally, the description indicates that this game will run on Snow Leopard, but it would not start on my 10.6.8 system. No problems on 10.9.5.

  8. Excellent Value
    by John A.6, USA - Jan 16th 2017

Not only is this a throwback to Fallout days (Thanks Brian Fargo!) but it provides dozens of hours of play time and decent re-playability as well.

The random encounters get a bit tedious at times but the overall game is worth every penny! Excellent job!

  9. Great game!
    by Sergei K., Estonia - Dec 28th 2016

Just love it. Feels like old Fallout + Fallout Tactics. 3D graphics seems a bit strange. I think will better look as isometric even.

  10. Classic fallout in modern times
    by Zach C.4, USA - Dec 27th 2016

Fun to play, challenging at times, great look and the squad based tactics that have fallen out of favor these days

  11. Wasteland 2: Director's Cut
    by Austin V., USA - Oct 9th 2016

Very fun game. You create a party, and then you go around doing missions and stuff. Once you get into fights, you enter a grid based turn based combat. Lots of strategy involved. Lots of skills to put points into, lots of weapons to find, lots of items to find. Tons of secrets hidden in corners of the map. Many decisions to be made that actually affect the story. I recommend waiting for a good sale, because there is a Wasteland 3 in the works. You don't want to pay for this game, then have huge %75 off sales happen shortly after.

  12. Reminds of Fallout
    by andregurov, USA - Jul 25th 2016

Not the new Fallout - post Fallout 3 - but the old ones. Very dark, very text-ish, very fun. Great game that runs great on an iMac.

  13. Robust experience
    by GUBallboy, USA - Nov 4th 2015

For the good but not incredible graphics experience, this game brings in a ton of content that can change wildly from every decision you make from the start. Worth more than one playthrough, and each of those is a hefty investment.

  15. Great classic rpg game
    by darklynx, USA - Sep 25th 2015

Its a really great classic style rpg. Its a throwback to games like the old baldurs gate and icewind dale games! (if you dont know what those games are, make sure you research before you buy, its likely different then you expected)
