  1. Mille porte, un altro centro
by Roberto Guarchi, Italy - Jul 14th 2017

[Alawar and Five-Bn propose the continuation of the excellent "House of 1000 Doors-Family Secrets" and once again become the center. Missing the Italian language, but the game is playable using one of the languages that are more "related" (I used Spanish). Even in this case, the story is engaging and very long: in fact, there are four games in one game, because they "travel" in four different worlds. Hidden object scenes are "interactive" and challenging (keep an eye out for "crossing" multiple times), mini-games are complicated at the right point, cinematic scenes are superlative, as well as images, while music They make a good frame to everything. The bonus chapter looks at scenes that have already been dealt with but is still appreciated, and you have to concentrate a lot to find the many things that change. The strategic guide for me was indispensable in two places, and finally the map (very useful) is easily accessible. I recommend this game though, of course, for us Italians is worth buying if it is at a discounted price.]

  2. Great animation and lovely locks!
by josiejay, United Kingdom - Mar 10th 2016

I really enjoyed this game. There are many amazing, short animation sequences (I love the opening one) that make this game stand out from the crowd. The House of !000 doors has a great story line and it takes you, the supernatural detective trying to discover the cause of the mysteriou & dangerous fire balls, to other countries where you meet and help ghosts who have been affected by the fire balls. The ornate and intricate locks that you encounter are also a lovely feature of the game. I would have given the game a five, but what lets it down is that some of the art work, particularly for the HOGS is not as good as that associated with the animation. The hogs just seemed too dingy and junky (lots of tools, gloves, shoes, grungy bits). I found that I needed to have the screen up to brightest setting and to lean close to discover the items, I suppose I prefer HOGS to be brighter and full of interesting, magical, glittery bits and bobs, but maybe thats just me. You also have to revisit each HOG 3 times , which is annoying for those of us who look forward to the HOGS. The mini games where pretty good, but some of them were not as good as they could have been if they had been brighter and more colourful - for instance the toadstool game was so dingy but would have been great if the colours were richer. When I am playing a shooter I dont mind dingy and dark if it adds to the atmosphere, but when I play these adventrue games it is all about a visual feast, about colour and detail . Otherworldly objects were dull, I prefer collecting colourful hummingbirds or butterflys or interesting jewels/ gold or colourful objects. Despite these grumbles the game is still excellent and probably should give it a 4.5. Includes a useful map that shows you current location and the where the next objective is.

  3. Just as good as the first one!
    by Siluette, Sweden - Jan 3rd 2016

When I finished the first House of 1000 doors I couldn't wait to start this one.. I didn't get disappointed. Beautiful graphics, lovely story, helpful map and exciting. I really recommend the collector's edition because in the bonus game you will get to know Gabriel and learn about his secret.

  5. Liked it, good game.
    by Cupoftea3, Canada - Jan 2nd 2015

I give it 5 stars. Fun to play. Play time was satifying. It did not take days to beat just hours. Which for me is good. There was a basic hidden object format, but the actual game play was great. The different "worlds"( for lack of a better word) were just long enough not to get boring. I found the game to be satisfying. I found myself talking to the screen while trying to get through the task. (I hope other gamers do that, and admit it LOL!). It felt good to play this game. And I was happy to play the whole game to the end without problems! I give this game 5 stars, graphics were supurb. I have recommended this game to other H.O. players! I am looking forward to the next 1000 doors!!
