Welcome back to Rapture. Paradise reborn.

Deep within the ruined undersea city of Rapture, your beloved Little Sister, Eleanor, awaits your return. As her Big Daddy, you protected her from a world of insanely selfish adults, now you must shield her again from those who demand that everything must be shared.

Ten years after the events of BioShock, Rapture has fallen under the control of a collectivist cult who plan to transform Eleanor into a genetically-engineered messiah, who will put an end to individuality forever. To save her, you must deploy a unique combination of shooting, role-play and stealth as you rampage through Rapture’s leaking halls to confront her captors.

Whether you choose to forgive those who threaten Eleanor or wreak vengeance upon them, remember, she is always watching and will follow your example.
  • Embark on an intense journey through one of the most disturbing fictional worlds ever created in this hauntingly imaginative sequel to BioShock.
  • Become the Big Daddy and unleash the raw power of Rapture’s most feared inhabitant against deadly new enemies such as Brute Splicers and the vengeful Big Sisters.
  • Dual wield your abilities: fire powerful weapons with your right hand while deploying gene-altering plasmids with your left.
  • Choose whether to adopt Little Sisters and protect them from splicers, or harvest them for the genetic material they carry.
  • Explore the sea bed as a Big Daddy and view Rapture’s breathtaking architecture from the outside.
  • Engage in all-out civil war online! BioShock 2 contains a completely separate multiplayer game set during the Fall of Rapture.

  1. Nice Bioschock Saga
    by Fanatiko 2.0, Germany - Oct 2nd 2018

May be you can think is more of the same, but it is really a nice Bioschock sequel. Great graphics, better soundtrack and a good gameplay; better if you get it with discount though.

  2. Good Sequel
    by csirikul, USA - May 30th 2018

If you played Bioshock 1 you'll appreciate this one but it might not be your favorite. I would recommend you wait for the sale unless you really want it. Good single playre shooter game with some horror-ish style to it. It's more fun with a controlelr in my opinion.

  3. Not Bioshock 1, But Still Exciting
by Daniel Steven Oles, USA - Feb 21st 2017

Bioshock 2 is a lot like Bioshock 1 extended DLC, but the major distinction is you're playing a Big Daddy instead of a regular shmoe like the original. Because of this you end up in battles constantly and can do things ordinary people cannot (thanks in part to a new gun which allows you to hack at a distance). The downside is your story is REALLY confined. Big Daddy's don't say much or interact with people very often and Bioshock 2 I can swear is shorter than Bioshock 1. If you liked the battles in Bioshock 1 this is a fine game with some hints of the earlier atmosphere of dread but mostly it's a power trip which is smaller but because of this feels a little less grueling than Bioshock 1. Pick your poison: there's still quality here, just a different kind.

Great FPS experience. Far exceeds the first Bioshock! Controller support (PS3) makes the gaming experience even more fluid and entertaining.

  9. A worthy successor ...
    by Roboy, Australia - Nov 26th 2015

... to a modern classic. And it's not just a tired rehash of what you've experienced before. This is a very different place, story and perspective. Recommended to the highest degree.

  11. Worth it
by Funk Dracula, USA - Sep 25th 2015

Not as classic as the first, as it is roughly more of the same... but on what planet is "more of the same of Bioschok" a bad thing?

  15. Terrible
    by Traubon, Canada - Jan 18th 2015

Maybe a great game when it came out many years ago… but now it is a oldies that is not worth it.. ( pvp was a great idea but they really need to balance it and since infinity is out forget it!)
