After years of conflict, the Allies are finally on the brink of victory. Cowering behind the walls of the Kremlin, the Soviets decide to turn to one last act of desperation - the use of an experimental time travel device. The mission: to go back in time to eliminate Albert Einstein before he creates the technologies that will lead the Allies to ultimate victory. After a successful mission, the Soviets return to the present, discovering the Allied position has weakened. But before they can truly celebrate, they find out their actions have spawned a new threat and global superpower, the mysterious, technologically advanced, Empire of the Rising Sun. Welcome to World War III.

In Red Alert 3, all three factions will have their own hand-crafted story-driven campaigns, with co-operative missions designed solely around coordinating attacks and developing strategies with an ally. Hook up with a friend online to go through the entire experience or choose from a group of AI commanders, each with their own distinct playstyle and personality.

While most RTS games keep naval gameplay at the periphery, Red Alert 3 is not shying away from the high seas. The oceans now hold essential resources, and with many units and structures capable of becoming amphibious, players who turn their backs to the oceans will find conquering the world a daunting task.
  • Red Alert 3 brings back everything fans love about the series, the humor, the popcorn style story and the franchise's fast, action-oriented gameplay, while breaking new ground for the genre, with an entirely co-operative, story-driven campaign campaign mode and an increased emphasis on naval gameplay.
  • Co-Op Done Right - Every mission is designed from the ground-up with co-operative gameplay in mind. Join forces and strategize with friends online or join forces with nine AI commanders, three for each faction, all of whom have their own unique personality and style of play that might come in handy depending on the situation.
  • Command the Seas, Conquer the World - Experience Gameplay as for the first time in the series, waging war on the water will be every bit as important as dominating by land and air. Gain strategic advantages by controlling resources in the seas and mounting three-pronged attacks from all directions.
  • A New Threat from the East - The Empire of the Rising Sun is a technological terror, with unit designs influenced by a mixture of science-fiction, martial arts and robot culture. The Empire?s futuristic units can transform into alternate forms, and they specialize in naval warfare. Star-Studded Storytelling - Command & Conquer's trademark live-action videos return in HD, with over 60 minutes of footage featuring the largest cast in the history of the Command & Conquer franchise.

  1. Game freeze
    by Wearney, Australia - May 13th 2013

Do not buy this game. It freezes and cannot be played. I have had to turn my computer off numerous times and restart and the game still does not play and I cannot get a refund or store credit.

  2. Campaign too difficult and tech tree is hard to build up
by Random Wanderer, USA - Apr 10th 2013

I looked forward to Red Alert 3 because I had so much fun with Red Alert 2. However, while the increased variety of units and new emphasis on naval combat made the game more interesting, the campaign is extremely frustrating to play unless you have another friend to play co-op. The odds are stacked against you so high that the later campaigns often take several tries to get it right (even on easy mode). In addition, the tech tree is confusing, and the need to "upgrade" individual structures, construction yards, etc in addition to high tier tech structures make it difficult to build up your tech tree quickly, which only adds to the difficulty of the more advanced missions. Multi-player is fun though, but if you want to play the campaign, be prepared to be frustrated, a lot.

  3. Great game.
    by Rraymond123, Australia - Feb 25th 2013

I've never experienced ANY lag, crashing, or glitches.

There are three Campaigns with 10 missions each, you'll get probably 45- 60 Minutes per mission out of the later ones and 10-30 minutes for the earlier missions.

Each faction has their own unique set of units that must be used in strategic combinations, and their own unique buildings and defenses.
It also has a Co-Op mode which is pretty neat. For every campaign mission, you can either get an AI "Co-Commander" or play with another player. You can also fight other players in multiplayer. And then there's Skirmish, where you fight vs an AI player.

Loads of replay ability, no bugs, long campaigns, multiplayer modes, and many units.

    Awesome purchase.

  4. Great game!
by Gabriel Pescador, Brazil - May 23rd 2012

I have already played the C&C Red Alert 2 series and it was a nice game. This is quite the same but they made it better.

The rising sun empire tech is awesome and the 3 ways how the nations construct can be used for an excellent strategy.
The only "problem" I founded was to search for a player in co-op mode. No one wants to join you, and I quite didn't understand how to invite people to your game.

Also it's missing a button to see the games players are waiting for someone to play, so we could join them.

  5. Fun but annoying.
by Thomas Jefferson, Canada - Feb 11th 2012

It's a fun game, the rising sun (japan) armies are pretty cool but overall the gameplay is pretty annoying. It's more silly than previous C&C games which is okay but it's somehow just not as fun. The cutscenes are hilarious BTW - movies with TIm Curry and Jenny McCarthy? Believe it. Wish you could skip them after seeing them 10 times though....
