Puzzle Agent

Puzzle Agent Badge
Help Special Agent Nelson Tethers solve the mystery of Scoggins, MN in this collection of brain-twisting puzzles set in the frozen Midwestern USA.

What the heck is going in Scoggins, Minnesota? When White House inquiries to the Scoggins Eraser Co. are answered only with curious puzzles, the U.S. Department of Puzzle Investigation's Nelson Tethers is sent on the case.

The strange case of Scoggins plunges Tethers into a mystery that will challenge every ounce of his expertise, and possibly his very wits too. He must overcome brainteasers at every turn, including mazes, logic puzzles and riddles, and he soon realizes that these - along with the clinically pre-occupied townspeople, secret societies, and mysterious sounds from the forest - are intimately connected to the core conundrum. And what's with the gnomes?

Created with Graham Annable's unique narrative and visual sensibilities, delivered with the distinctive Telltale storytelling style, Puzzle Agent is sure to challenge, thrill and engage in more ways than you can shake a cryptogram at!
  • Plentiful puzzles to challenge your neurons. See if you can find every puzzle to solve the mystery of Scoggins -- mazes, logic, riddles, brainteasers and more.
  • Investigate the strange, peculiar and mind-boggling to crack the case! Your discoveries provide clues to the larger mystery crippling the town, or uncover puzzles that must be solved to reveal answers ... or even more questions.
  • Hunting for Hints: Chewing gum helps Agent Tethers think and solve. Find and collect gum wads around the town to uncover hints if you get "stuck" in any puzzles.

  2. Fun a challenging enough
    by NorthernSpruce, Canada - Feb 1st 2013

Nicely drawn and a diverting story, it is really a series of true puzzles, which is refreshing. Ample hints if needed. A bit short and the puzzles could have been more diverse, but probably worth the cost.

  4. Lots of Fun!
by Alyssa Williamson, Australia - Dec 26th 2010

Game was fantastic. Especially enjoyed the way it was drawn. It was a little short, and the some of the puzzles were very hard, but otherwise it was a heap of fun and very entertaining. Enjoyed it a lot, definitely worth buying.

  6. Too short, sort of disappointing
by Big Russ, USA - Jul 14th 2010

The game is OK, but not worth 5 stars. It starts out in the agents office. Where you must sit through about 8 min of cartoon that can?t be skipped. You just sit there and watch. No meaningful information happens. As a matter of fact, a space man comes into the office and writes down the name of the town we are going to. Then disappears. The space man is no longer involved in the game, and no hint as to what he was there for either. The puzzles are pretty easy for the most part. I spent more time watching the computer play with itself showing cartoons that playing puzzles. For $10, I expected more than about 30-40 puzzles to solve. Most were solved on the first try. This would be good for kids I suppose but the long boring cartoons may turn them off. The only keyboard commands are APPLE Q for quit, and space bar for pause. It auto saves in strange places, and if you don?t go far enough into the game when you first start it, it doesn?t save at all, requiring you to start over. i just restarted the game and the first 15 min of game I did 3 puzzles. Each solved on the first try. The rest of the time was spent watching cartoons playing. The game took me about 2 hours to finish. Way too short for a $10 game.
