Must have stellaris expansion. Hours more fun although i have already wasted too many hours playing stellaris so i probably didnt need it.

It's exactly what it says it is, no hidden depth or anything. Even as someone who plays peacefully I highly recommend getting it at least half-off. It does however play well with megacorps if that's something you already have.
Even if you want to go for a domination run, federations is a mist have. Nothing more satisfying than crushing the ai and becoming the senate. Opens up another whole playing style, as well as all the new content.
