As hidden object games go, this one is unique to say the least. I agree with K. Baillie. (Kricket?) Graphics and sound are artistic and ever-changing. Nothing boring here. The h/o part is very challenging as are the interim puzzles. Lots of levels and gameplay. Worth the price for sure.
One thing though. They might want to "up" the system requirements. I have a dual 1.25 GHz G4 running OS 10.4.11 and this game action is definitely sluggish. But still fun. Go for it!
The graphics are incredible and the storyline enchanting. I didn't want to leave the village once the game was complete. When you play again the hidden objects are different so I'll definitely be playing again and again. Very cleverly and beautifully created game. Loved the woman dancing at the end!
The demo got me pretty excited about this game. In fact, it's pretty solid for what's included. There's quite a few tracks and many require patience to master. However, beyond a few locked trucks and online score tracking there isn't much left to the game.
Definitely try this one!
My 2 cents, the price point is too high and the content is too little. At least give an editor!
I really like to play strategy games especially RTS type tactical games. Thisone is not the newest (on the PC available for several years) has 2D isometrical graphics combined with some 3D models (like vehicles etc.) and you can set the resolutions to your needs. Before I forget: you can play it fullscreen or in a window.
What I really like about this game:
- highly detailed graphics - great sound effects and music - various backgrounds - really amazing missions - mod system
As soon as you run the game be sure, to play true the tutorials. With + and - keys, you can slow or speed up the gameplay, with F5 you can quicksave, with F8 you can load the last save game, there is also a Spacebar for Pause.
I am using it on a Mac mini 2009 with Geforce 9400 and 4 GB RAM. Works flawlessly.
I love this game! Unlike other reviewers I did not find this game too short. The graphics are beautiful, the storyline intriguing, and the hidden objects just the right degree of difficulty. There are plenty of hints if you decide to use them, but you must find them first. I look forward to the next installment!
You'll like it if it's the kind of thing you like...
It's a good implementation of the diner dash style game, except it takes place in a graveyard. Well executed and interestingly complex, but unless you enjoy that style of gameplay, eventually boring.
This game is great fun but it's way too short (one level) for the price. I'd expect a few levels in different settings at least. I think a few bucks would be more appropriate than $10.
The only must have game on this site (besides catz).
Awsome horror/puzzle game. Truthfully, unless your easily frightened the game only has a scarry setting (the hallways are creepy) and nothing really jumps out at you. : )
I have been playing ev nova for many years and i had thought that it would never come to the new mac os much to my surprise i got the mac games store news letter saying ev nova was a new new release I have played every story line yet it is still a very fun game. hours of internment. it deserves a spot in action rather than in arcade. any one who is looking for a fast passed adventure (at least after you make a few credits) will love this game.
Enjoyable game, some challenges BUT, very short. It took less than 2 hours to complete it. It was annoying, after all that, to find that at the end it is "to be continued". This game was quite overpriced for the play value.
I remember playing this game back when it was first released and it still holds up now.
Epic scale, tons of ships to fly and dozens of ways to fit each one, hundreds of missions and 6 different main story arcs to play through make this one well worth it.
I generally agree with the other reviews of this game. The graphics are great, story line is interesting, but... hints are a little heavy-handed, and THE GAME IS TOO SHORT! I certainly don't think it was worth the price, for less than a day of game play. Otherwise, I would also have given it 5 stars.
Here's an HO game that has point and click elements, nicely done animation (especially of insects) and an interesting story. Not very challenging though, and I personally could have done with a lot fewer hints (of the bash you over the head kind), but fun just the same. A little too short, like so many games are these days, so I will only give it 4 stars.
I really enjoyed this game, but it was fairly easy and very short. If you enjoy h/o games, you'll finish it in less than a day. It's pretty good for a quick little game though. Plus, if you finish it, you can enter to win 10K.
Jeff Vogel continues to write great games that take time, have good story line, and can give hours of immersive fun. The graphics are simple, but timeless. Well worth the price. Enjoy.
