Fantastic game

All around great game. Fast, paced and challenging but still really fun. The levels get progressively harder as they should. Do yourself a favor and download.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent
 –

This game is a rip off

Oh how disappointing. There are so many great things about this game, but then there are the problems. And when it goes south there's no workaround. The designers have put in some stupid simple test, like breaking a chain 20ft in the air that are next to impossible to do and to make it worse, they have no other way to solve the problem so you get stuck and the time you've spent and the money you've spent is wasted. Better to buy a box of toothpicks and spend all day lining them up then waste your time with this game. It is soooooooooo over rated. You pay a lot for this game and don't even get a kiss out of it. It doesn't have Amnesia it is brain death.

Great game with some problems

This game has great graphics and a fun story line. For the money it was one of the best games I have played. I did have to use the walk through, no fault of the developers, to get through some parts of the game. My only problem was that the game froze during the later stages of the game which could have been due to my computer only having 2gb of memory. The key was to save often which allowed me to restart the game and not retrace too many steps. The game was a lot of fun.

Royal Envoy Collector's Edition
 –

Awesome game!

I must've played this game from start to finish in basic and expert mode with the bonus challenges also at least 3 full times. It's great and challenging and addictive. It requires careful planning to beat the clock, and strategy is rewarded. if you're having trouble with a level, every single level has the walkthru that you can click on to give yourself the hints to help you beat the clock and get a gold star.

the collector's edition includes 30 extra levels - bonus challenges, which are fun too but not part of the story.

great game. highly recommended.

Youda Farmer 2: Save the Village
 –

A million times better than the original youda farmer

The original game was virtually unplayable, with the time running out on all the orders way way way too fast. it was almost impossible to progress, and totally frustrating. Now that this version is out, I'll never play the old version again.

The new version (for less than ten bucks! great!) is fantastic. it has the same style, but you don't continually fail. it's still challenging to get gold, and it's unbelievably busy with lots of tasks for each level, but it's exciting. the only think I don't like is that there's no chance to enjoy a certain stage...it's always build build build, so every level becomes more complex, and in every level you're building yet another attachment or farm which means then subsequent level will yet again be more complex. it would be nice to have a few levels to adjust to all the new buildings and just do more orders without worrying about building more. but it's still fun and exciting and I've completed about 3/4s of all the levels already.

A Favorite

It is a match game but you have to follow paths. Fun, not too hard but not easy either. Pretty backgrounds. This isn't for the high power game playes, but good entertainment for someone who just likes a puzzle. Wish it was longer.

Short but sweet

Colorful, humorous, bright, cheerful little game. A nice change from all the dark, ominous, gory games we have been seeing. Artwork is charming, the antagonists romp through the castle is fun but over too soon. Still and all, this little adventure deserves 4 stars for delightful.

The Otherside: Realm of Eons
 –

Extraordinary artwork but

Artwork 5 stars, game performance 1 star. I concur with Nicole. I have a 24" iMac with 4 GB memory running OS 10.6.5. Lag time between scenes is slow enough to make one think the game has frozen. Not the case, but that does not make for a very pleasant gaming experience. Also agree - could be a good game.

Boring

Not worth your time. I lasted 10 mins of dragging my mouse across the screen to eat items.

Rail Cargo Simulator
 –

Horrible game

Just an awful game. basically a puzzle game, poorly done, with a horrible UI that is frustrating at best.

The game claims "100 missions" - well, it's 10 track arrangements, each with 10 missions, you have to get through the missions in order. the first 10 missions are on the first track, the first 4 missions were exactly the same, then it switched it up a bit with a combination of cars that had to go on different tracks. by the 7th mission I was so bored of the track layout I wanted to quit, but kept on so i could see the next location.

The next location was 4 tracks instead of 3, and I ran into a glitch which prevented me from completing the level.

$20 wasted.

Heavyweight Transport Simulator

Poor & Cheap

Poorly built, no real attempt at building a decent quality game, graphics leave poor even for a cheap game, game play slow & boring.

Missions pointless little effort made into making it challenging.

Some parts are not even translated into English such as the Map which remains in german and doesn't show you where you are.

Controls patchy at best, breaking seems to do nothing unless you use hand break.

Sid Meier's Civilization V
 –

What a disappointment. Don't waste your money.

I have every Civ game, but when I received this a week ago, I was at first disappointed that you can't alter maps, you can't even edit your maps or create your own. For me, that was one of the best variants of this game: to give a gamer the ability to alter terrain and even change the colours of the participating nations. I will never again purchase another Civ game. I also did not enjoy the programmers returning to using 20 or so settlers or soldiers when only one is created. I could not find any options to turn this option off; it was tried in one of the other civ games and I did not like it then and I don't appreciate it now.

If the programmers had only given the gamer the same editing qualities, I would have rated this game at least one more star. As for me, I'm back on Civ 4 again. The final assessment is that the gamers failed to finish the game and in not doing so, completely ruined the Civ interface Mac gamers have expected from the Civ games. Shame on you!

LUXOR 5th Passage

Wanted it to be great

I really wanted this to be great. However, at this point it is still pretty buggy. It frequently sticks and you can't shoot or move, then it will skip. Not ready to be sold. Please fix the bugs. I love Luxor and would love to have it on my Mac.

Amazing!

You WILL get scared if you play this alone in the night. It gave me chills and it felt like what happened to Daniel, happened to me. A very amazing experience.

Twisted Lands: Shadow Town Collector's Edition

cool game

Wow, I was not expecting the ending. Great hidden object game. There is a lot of back and forth movement to use the items that are collected. That was annoying at times, but overall the game was great.

Tasty Planet - Back for Seconds

better then the original

tasty planet is one of my old time favorite games. The sequel is awesome. All new items to gobble up as you travel through the past and future. There is more of a variety of objects then the first game (bugs, raisins, bones, rice, turtles etc . . .)
