FATE
 –

Early Torchlight

Fate is basically a early version of Torchlight which is much more polished.

I played this ages ago and it's much more repetitive than Torchlight eg dungeons looked all the same.

Like Torchlight it can be moded but from memory was at the time more buggy if you think of it as a early beta Torchlight you would not be far off. One would hope the current version is more stable than it used to be. Best to save often if in doubt.

Get Torchlight it's a much better experience and its by the same people.

I give this a 3 and Torchlight a 5 star rating.

Torchlight 2 will be out later this year (unless it's put back) and should also have multiplayer . .

Seems like endless game!

Almost endless game if you get it with expansion packs. Worth to get it. Can feed your digital virtual reality addiction for a while.

A Great Experience

After Downloading this game it wasn't long before I realised this is a real little gem. Being a Console gamer mainly and just wanting a handful of games on my i5 MacBook Pro Lap top to lose a little break time with, this game really is a something a little special.

Gorgeous visuals from the offset, some nice narration, nice Music and cute characters combined with excellent gameplay mechanics and puzzles make this a game to come back to again and again. So far it has been a wonderful experience.

Once I have had more time with it and completed it I will add my final say but I had to say this piece early, in great appreciation. For the price it's a must ! and if these first tastes are anything to go by, it will become a major Top chart contender.

Assassin's Creed 2 Deluxe Edition

Do not buy for MacBook Pro

Bought this expecting a lot more, running 512 graphics and 4gb of RAM, no way this wil run more than 800x600 on my MacBook Pro.

What a let down.

Mishap 2: An Intentional Haunting Collector's Edition
 –

great fun

I enjoyed this very much - the HO scenes are so terrifically animated and distracting, and the end games are great; even though I am terrible at these, I still enjoyed trying. Good value for the money.

BioShock

Fine shooter but

This is an example of what can already be done in the shooter genre: consistent design and a load of weapons/tools to use. However, since I played Borderland, I miss the open space of a real landscape, the great sights. I suspect the story was tweaked to go underwater in order to not having to cope with the coding problems of landscape. The rooms are dark throughout. You will like it all nevertheless but, still, something is missing.

Mystery of Mortlake Mansion
 –

Beautiful graphics, but VERY slow

I'm patient when it comes to programs loading, as it just happens sometimes. But I timed it once - to get from launching to the game's "menu" took 10 minutes! Seriously? Why not just load the game in stages if it takes that long. Anyway, was totally unable to finish, as the game crashed (and apparently burned...?!?) and was totally unable to relaunch the game. VERY disappointing, especially since I had to play the game twice because it crashed the 1st time too and wouldn't relaunch! A company should never release a game this buggy, can't launch, slow gameplay, takes forever to startup and glitchy, jerky transitions. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME.

World of Goo
 –

GOO is great!

The World of Goo is challenging and extremely enjoyable. Everyone in our family loves the game and has gone so far as to get the game on several different systems in the house.

Even if you don't really like puzzle games, you'll find yourself returning to this over and over again to get past that last level.
It's very challenging and, as a homeschooler, I use it as "down-time" between classes for our kids.

Try the demo. You're gonna love it!

Captivating!

A mysterious and fascinating quality to this game. The game challenges are hidden items and memory puzzles are great.? The story line is intriguing. Not to mention the outstanding virtual rooms and places, that you step into. Once you start playing, you can't stop. I Highly recommend it!

Eschalon: Book I

Nice

Real nice RPG. I actually like the older styled graphics. The plot is good. It seemed a little buggy at first, but the company always seems to come through with patches. I wish it was longer!

Senet
 –

Fun!

This is an addictive little game. The achievements you can unlock in the full version are neat too. You get a few extra play modes like "flood" where the number of water squares on the board increases, some new pieces, etc. I don't know if I've unlocked everything though.

Crashing intentional?

I have downloaded, removed and reinstalled this game no less than 3 times. Every time I get to map 5 of the first mission it freezes and I have to restart my Mac. This sux.

Osmos
 –

Beautiful, Soothing, Challenging

Osmos is wonderful. Parts of it area easy and soothing. Other parts are challenging.

It is visually beautiful and would make a great screensaver.

And the music is *lovely*. So soothing. It would be a great, soothing background for life.

I can easily imagine a huge, wall-mounted flat-screen TV running random Osmos scenes with the gorgeous background music continuously.

Did I mention it is devilishly fun to play?

Twisted: A Haunted Carol
 –

Twisted. A haunted carol

Really good fun, I throughly enjoyed it. Not difficult but graphics were great. I have to say I am quite sad and have most of the Christmas Carol DVD's available and have to watch at least two every Christmas eve!! Therefore, just had to get this game. Great value just really good fun. Had slight hiccup early on in game when I lost items collected and had to start again but did not happen again.
