Good and bad

Gameplay is just like the TV show, but graphics etc are extremely simplistic. I have no problem with that, but a real issue is sloppy spelling. One answer was 'monogrammed stationary' - which is incorrect, it should have been 'stationery'. Which makes it very hard to solve! Have only found this one example so far though.

Great

This was an excellent game. I got it for my pregnant wife who is a huge puzzle and mystery fan. The game was great in length and the graphics were amazing. Great buy.

Not Crazy About the Art

I *love* fractals, so I should like this game, but I really do not care for the monocrome art. I'm downloading the demo, though, to see for sure. I often buy games for the art, so...we'll see.

Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst

Return to Ravenhearst

My wife and I played this game for over 20 hours. Congratulations to the developers! This is an incredible puzzle game. It requires some patience and note taking to complete. Not too easy and not too hard... although we had to combine our sleuthing skills on some puzzles. This game gets a 5 star recommendation!

The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition

Great classic adventure game

One of the very few games that actually made me laugh out loud. This is great for point-and-click adventure fans but also has an entertaining story and fun characters for those who aren't so familiar with the genre. Love the Monkey Island series!

Phantasmat Collector's Edition

A worthy CE

This is a very curious game which I quite enjoyed. Some might complain there is too much dialogue, but I wouldn't. The CE has some interesting extras and the bonus chapter adds to the story. There are many hours of game play that require you pay attention to accomplish all the tasks. (closer to 5 stars than 4).

Gorgeous graphics

Loved the game, with all its gorgeous illustrations. Had some troubles with some of the puzzles - they can be a bit obtuse, and had to use the 'hint' button more than I would have liked. But overall great game and no problems playing.

Cookie Domination

It's okay

This is basically the game Risk with animations aimed to appeal to young girls, minor story thrown in, and an easy to beat AI. A 7 year old might really like it.

Back to the Future: The Game

Awesome

Very lovely made adventure game with incredible attention to the details and great voice acting. Though I must admit it could be a bit more challanging. Nevertheless well done, it's the work of true fans of the original movies.

Beyond Excellent!

This game is so good it defies any need for a review! If I said I can actually put it ahead of MCF 13th Skull and on an even par with MCF Dire Grove, would that be enough? Just get it and enjoy it!

Murder Island: Secret of Tantalus
 –

A decent game

IMHO the biggest problem with this game is the mediocre artwork. If it was a Wow! to look at the rest would get higher marks. There are some decent things - well certainly as decent as many other Adventure H0Gs we've played. It is not a short game. It has an interactive map that allows you to jump from one area to another. It has an unlimited, graduated hint system for the few puzzles that might stump you. It has an interesting mystery to be solved, with a contemporary theme. It has bonus tasks. It has iH0 searches with a twist. Unfortunately that's where the fuzzy, less than inspired artwork really gets annoying.

Fun but defective in some way?

I really like this game but it's freezing my computer up every time I play. My MacBook Pro is brand new and I'm disappointed I can no longer play this game.

Way too hard!

This was a complete waste of money. I'm not a beginning gamer but after 2 hours of playing in NOVICE MODE I still hadn't gotten past a single room! Mouse aiming is imprecise, too many monsters that reanimate too quickly, etc. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Scrabble Classic
 –

Scrabble - cheats!

I quite enjoy playing the game when I don't take it seriously, but it could be much better. I agree with Don Banks about the ridiculous words - or non-words - the computer comes up with. I wouldn't let a human opponent get away with it!

FATE
 –

Early Torchlight

Fate is basically a early version of Torchlight which is much more polished.

I played this ages ago and it's much more repetitive than Torchlight eg dungeons looked all the same.

Like Torchlight it can be moded but from memory was at the time more buggy if you think of it as a early beta Torchlight you would not be far off. One would hope the current version is more stable than it used to be. Best to save often if in doubt.

Get Torchlight it's a much better experience and its by the same people.

I give this a 3 and Torchlight a 5 star rating.

Torchlight 2 will be out later this year (unless it's put back) and should also have multiplayer . .

Nuff said
