Swarm Gold
 –

One of the better shoot'em ups!

I really enjoyed this game and it has worked on all my Macs from the G4 to G5, and now the big intel G5 I just purchased / I don't play it all the time, but I find myself going back to the game every few months.

Farm Tribe
 –

Cute and addicting

Cute graphics and the design is pretty decent. There are many levels to solve as you have to find all the totems in the beach. I liked looking for the map pieces and as well as the hidden gems and insects around the beach.

I also enjoyed having to come up with a strategy for growing what's needed for the current task. I took me a few days to finish it which is also a plus (playing a couple of hours every day). I hate beating games in a day.

All in all, it was a great cute game and I very much enjoyed playing it!

Good time killer

Good action, needs a bit of thinking to load up correctly and become invincible.

After a while some scenes become repetitive but the action keeps increasing.

Reincarnations: Uncover the Past Collector's Edition
 –

Worth it!

This is a beautiful game, a lot of tasks, some challenge. Parts 2 and 3 are not quite as strong as part 1, but all were good. The bonus chapter may be the best part of the whole game. Definitely several hours of decent game play.

Victoria Complete
 –

Huge

The first time I played this game I turned it off after about 5 minutes because I had no idea what was going on. There is no tutorial and the instructions, while accurate, were not comprehensive. I waited a few days and tried again, this time getting about an hour into the game.

Each time I played I learned a little more about what I had to do to be successful, and now I feel like I know about 75% of the game's "secrets". Overall, it is very detailed and gives a wide choice of countries to be. The only trouble is that many countries are no fun to play because they have so little money all you can do is sit and watch time go buy.

Expect a big learning curve with this game, unless you have played Hearts of Iron (which is similar.) It is not much like Rome or EU3 in mechanics.

The graphics are basic and options for modifying the game very limited. For the Mac version, I have heard legend of a patch to improve performance but have never actually found it (other than broken links) so I think this game has been taken out to pasture.

The best parts of the game are the great level of control one has over history. The worst part of the game is that, as your empire grows, managing it becomes a bit tedious. Also the fact that it takes about 10 hours to really get the hang of the game.

Twisted Lands: Shadow Town

Love It!

Not too hard, not too easy and just the right amount of hints to send you in the right direction.

Little Shop - Big City

I love the Little Shop series

I have Little Shop, Little Shop Big City and Little Shop Road Trip. I love them all!

This is a great, cheerful game with good-looking art and a sense of fun.

Gratuitous Space Battles CE
 –

Simple and very fun

The game is a variation on classic tower defense games, and takes you out of the pilots seat and into the admirals war room. There's no worrying about whether or not you have quick hand-eye coordination, rather it's all about your ability to adequately plan for a battle, exploiting your opponents weaknesses and taking advantage of the environment to (hopefully) enhance your own ships capabilities.

One negative note is that once the battle commences, you take a very back seat to the action and can only watch as your fleet either crushes the enemy, or is destroyed as they blast you into pieces.

Mystery Case Files: 13th Skull Collector's Edition
 –

Excellent game!!! Took me about 7.5 hours to solve completely.

And when I thought I was done... I wasn't. I was very happy with the length of the game.

Excellent value for the money! Graphics are beautiful, story is engaging, and it's a great mix of puzzle solving and HO.
Only caution would be that it may be a little scary (and occasionally inappropriate) for younger gamers. But little kids aren't their core audience anyways, so it doesn't really matter.

I think this was the best of Mystery Case Files yet... by far!

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Good game play.

Enjoyed the game, works well on my macMini with the default settings. Feels a bit short tho. Finished the game over the weekend but otherwise very well done.

Back to the Future: The Game

Fair

For that amount of money its OK. I wouldnt call this "game" a game, but it's fun to watch and lots of nostalgia, good voice acting.

Supreme Commander 2
 –

Very good successor to TA

Very good successor to TA but I did like haveing lots of different types of units to choose from where SupCom2 puts more emphasis on just a few unit types that can be upgraded.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction
 –

Infinitely Frustrating.

After 17 hours of straight downloading, and 10 hours of installation issues, this game just doesn't want to work. I've gotten more errors than any other game I've ever played. And after countless hours trying to fix them I still can't play. Oh well, it looks amazing. I can't wait to play.

Fantastic Game

The Only problem with this game is the lag, so put the quality on low, BUT DON'T WORRY IT STILL LOOKS FANTASTIC! This is definitely worth buying, considering the fail of Assassins Creed 2 for the Mac. Any other questions or want a full review? Email me at demonwithinproductions@gmail.com. I'll also be making a full playthrough on my youtube account: DemonWithinStudios.

4 Elements
 –

4 Elements

This game has beautiful graphics and is a joy to play, until the last two levels. It seems unfair that up until that point the gameplay is adequately challenging but doable. Then all of a sudden the last two levels are ridiculously difficult. I was able to finally pass the second-to-last level only to be confronted by the last level which I found impossible, at least with a laptop computer using a touchpad. It seemed as though the designers out-sourced the last two levels to an evil imp with lightning fast fingers. I had to start a new game without finishing the first one, so sad! If you don't mind missing out on the end of the game, then buy it, you won't regret it.

Won't run on MacBook Pro w. 4 GB RAM!

This game looks like it might be fun. Lucky for me I downloaded a demo before buying. This *will not run* on my MacBook Pro w. 4 GB RAM, running Leopard. It crashes before opening. Beware!

Nancy Drew: Shadow at the Water's Edge
 –

Loved it!

Loved this game. The setting was beautiful and interesting and really made me crave Japanese food! The storyline is interesting and at times makes you really wonder what the conclusion will be.

The game also includes a lot of Japanese puzzle mini games like filling out sudoku and nanograms. These can be pretty complicated and take a lot of time but I still really enjoyed them.

Nancy Drew: Secrets Can Kill REMASTERED
 –

Awful and Short

The other Nancy Drew games are fun and interesting but this one had puzzles that were not intuitive and the game only took about an hour to play! Don't buy it!

Midnight Mysteries: Salem Witch Trials Collector's Edition
 –

Great Game

This is an awesome game and is one of the few that I have had the patience to play the story mode multiple times to get all the awards. My only problems are that the full screen mode does not fill the screen and the third or fourth time through the story mode I have hit a glitch in the game that won't allow me to progress to the next task. This would not be so bad but it seems that I am going to have to loose all of the awards and unlocked features that I have accumulated to reset the game. Other than this it is an awesome game.
