Drawn: Trail of Shadows
 –

Loved it

This is a pretty short game but full of entertaining puzzles. They aren't super challenging but they are fun and diverting and nice to look at. An especially nice feature is the storybook pages that pop-up every once in awhile with quirky actions to carry out and puzzles to solve. Creative, positive, and a pleasant way to while away a few hours.

The Book of Unwritten Tales

Fun story

This game is really good for several reasons: it has many chapters and levels (it lasts longer than many comparably priced games), the graphics are great and the characters and storyline are actually very appealing. The puzzles are feasible - nothing insane or requiring cheats, but sometimes causing enough perplexity to be challenging. On the whole, I'm glad I purchased it.

Atlantis: The New World
 –

Very strange

What a bizarre game - confused, chaotic storyline with forays into Siberia and Baghdad from Egypt, talking dolphins floating around in crystal skulls, magical hearts - sheesh. A little challenging, nice graphics, but it's a weird jumble of unrelated-seeming stories and puzzles.

Really disappointing

Some of the scenes are pretty enough, but as another reviewer pointed out, this game feels like a half-hearted highlight reel from a much larger game. There are several places where you can walk into a room without much detail and without any interactions possible - no entertainment or puzzle-solving value. When I played, a bug prevented me from collecting vital documents as I encountered them; yet, as annoying as this was, it didn't actually hinder me from finishing the game because there are so few objects to find and interact with. All I had to do was randomly apply objects to places where it was clear that an action was possible. Dull and insipid.

Tropical Stormfront

Couldn't right click

I tried to use the "control-click" to move the tank to the transport carrier, but it only gives me a White egded rectangle and does see the transport below. This has happened on both of the "Stormfront" games. I hate this.

Build-a-lot: The Elizabethan Era

So-so

Was fun to play on my old Mac, but on this new one (10.2.8 with Intel 4000 chipset) the graphics are so glitchy I didn't bother trying to get beyond the intro screen.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Fantastic game!

I love the quests and the characters - especially HK. I'd rate it 5 star only the actual combat system gets clunky in places, which kinda killed the replay appeal for me. BUT this game is a total gem and if you're a fan of star wars and RPG's in general, you have to give it a crack.

Spirits of Mystery - Song of the Phoenix

Outstanding HOG

This game sets an example for what HOGs should be. I am a fan of the genre, and must say this engaging, mind teasing game is worth every cent. The stunning 3D cinematics, which I would have loved to have seen more of or even in-game, are magnificent.

The only negative, as is with this genre, is the storyline lacks behind the rest of the game.

King's Bounty: Armored Princess
 –

Fantastic game

One of the few games in my entire life I've played more than 2x. I played as all 3 character classes. The gameplay is superb, and the tactics deep and challenging. Having played all 3 roles, I would suggest the Warrior as a 1st time playthrough. The Mage will be the 1st pick for some, but it's a "late bloomer", and you could struggle for the 1st half of the game. But it's up to you. Enjoy this great game. I'm off now to play the precursor, King's Bounty: The Legend...

Not bad for 62 years old

I'v been playing this for about a week now. I find it quite additive. I leave a nights play with sore joints in both my hands but I'll get back to it tomorrow regardless. I really love the graphics they are top of the scale as fare as the artistry goes. The sound is not intrusive like in a lot of games. All in all a good game all round for me. I remember when it came out for the Apple IIGS. It still has potential as it is just a change of place.

Crazy Cars
 –

Well

The idea of the game it not really new. If you want to play it with a keyboard, well forget it. The steering is really inexact, almost unplayable. Maybe it gets better when you get the other cars, but getting there is very slow and very frustrating. Ten dollar is too much for this game.

Not widescreen

This looks terrible on my mac widescreen displaymenu graphics are rough and gameplay is mediocre at best. Also good luck playing this without a controller, using a keyboard is a joke.

Fear for Sale: Sunnyvale Story
 –

Fun game but too short for $10

This was a really fun demo. I was very sad that after I dropped the $10 for the game I only had another 5-10 minutes of game play (one puzzle and one hidden object scene) before the game was finished.

Star Wars: Empire at War
 –

Star Wars: Empire at War

For any Star Wars fan this game is great, bringing back all the best parts of the star wars galaxy, the planets, units, and battles just like the movies and more, but for those looking for a deep real time strategy experience this may not be the game for you. The land battles offer very little in the choices of strategic options with just a small handful of units at a time and a quick teching up and rushing strategy will always work on the AI opponents. The space battles offer a bit more as every unit from x wing to star destroyer may be countered by another unit and to succeed in battle one must use a mixed force of units but once again, the strategic options offered are few and battles often become repetitive. The graphics at highest settings still make the game look very outdated and take away from the potential experience. For the biggest of star wars fans, Empire at War is all you could have asked for and more but for those seeking a deep Real Time Strategy experience, i might recommend the Total War titles and Ruse which offer more than Empire at War does in replay value, visuals, and strategic depth that define the game as a real time strategy experience

Different fun

The graphics caught my eye, kind of different than most games, I like it. The puzzels get your brain to burning, had to re adjust my thinking to play it out.
